  1. Are the core plugins different form the Sonitus ones in any way, other than a name change?
  2. Thanks Starship. It is good to know that setting to background services could be detrimental. Setting the power plan to the highest performance is probably one of the easiest tweaks. I am not sure of Pete's view on that. I would like more information on disabling core parking. And yes, registry changes require careful skills, including making a registry backup.
  3. Here is some more. There are quite a few sites for optimizing Windows for a DAW, by using google: https://support.ujam.com/hc/en-us/articles/16462354518172-Optimizing-Windows-for-Audio-Production-A-Detailed-Guide
  4. Thank you for putting "solved" on your thread! Have a great day!
  5. There are also Windows system tweaks (optimizations) that reduce the likelihood of glitches. Also, I have a ton of plugins, but I had one that would produce glitches no matter what I tried. I just gave up on that plugin.
  6. Why not improve the delete hole option with an extra box asking it to move the tempo data and also allow it to move data appropriately when there is no data in the hole? It seems that having these separated functions of delete hole and ripple edit just make the program it more complicated.
  7. The problem with slowing down is things can get more grainy. At least, for the midi tracks and VIs, before mixing to two tracks, slowing down does not affect the sound quality. So in a project with a mix of audio and midi/VIs, it might sound better to slow down before the 2 track mix. Of course, the more minor the slow down, the less grainy the effect.
  8. It would also help me to know which bass selection is being used in EZbass. I have it setup right now. And as I said, the acoustic basses have clicks and noises that are in the samples. I wish they made those noises a parameter because EZbass, in general, is a great program!
  9. I just used Izotope declicker to get rid of some of the click. Sort of a pain but it worked. Not a Sonar issue. at least for me. Of course, I do not know what the OP is experiencing.
  10. I am just using that EZ bass. Which type of bass did you select? I am working on something today with it, so I am happy to see if I have that issue as well.
  11. I think the Bakers are working very hard on the graphics updates. And I also think it is fair to surmise that they do not want to do so in a way that creates a problem with the major audio functions of the program and the like. I do not know of any DAW that is awesome in all areas. It seems like it is "always something" with any of them. Meanwhile, we are dealing with really great people and we should be optimistic and patient, in my humble opinion.
  12. This is strange. Do you have the ability to have One drive? If so, maybe get it going and see if that is at least a temporary fix. The Cakewalk tech folks have always been kind and responsive to me. I hope this gets solved.
  13. There are some good deals on used analog mixers, such as Midas Venice and Allen and Heath. And for any digital mixer, the mic pres in them do matter. Allen and Heath does a good job with mic pres. Soundcraft is also very good. Alsmost none of which are as good as dedicated mic pres.
  14. I believe the A&H digital mixers can output to digital to Sonar using its USB output, so it is just an A/D conversion going in. I would not convert it to analog before going into Sonar, just use the USB. Of course, a D/A conversion will be needed later to listen to it which I believe can be done on the A&H mixer again. General rule, the less conversions, the better. But converters are starting to get so good, that this rule is not as strict as it was some years ago.
  15. I should add that sometimes for cueing purposes, I will use some midi notes that I erase later. This is also good for some pitch cues.
