Alio Loco

I have just purchased an NI A61. The keyboard is working but the transport controls & all knobs etc are not. Can anybody at all help me with A61/Cakewalk integration? I feel so alone. I just need to know if there are preferences I can change for my keyboard to work properly? Or have I made a huge mistake? Even if there is a way for me to individually bind buttons and knobs. Such a sucky thing to finally upgrade to a new PC - highest possible specs in every regard, and still get crashes. Just lost 3 hours work ? Misery definitely loves company, just keen to know when there will be a fix I guess. The latest crash was while using a third party VST, Isotope VocalSynth 2.
