I’ve also had same issue of playback continuing, on one or two simple projects with only about 4 or 5 plug ins and couple of short audio clips… weird. Only way of stopping was as OP describes. i thought maybe my old pc finally struggling to cope with latest updates, which I think partly true as same project is ok on another machine. Strange though as never done it before on much bigger projects. I’ll try the above check. Thanks

Not Liking the look of the New Sonar Interface
slenderhead replied to mark foster's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I had a weird thing on in when installing new Sonar, I found PC Saturation Knob missing. weirdly fixed in both platforms with a VST plug in rescan and adding nothing new in terms of scan paths. As, when it wasn’t showing… strangely, it also stopped working in latest V of CbB. could be something else, but thought worth mentioning. Tbf I haven’t even opened CbB, since all working again. As now totally loving the new look/feel for the Sonar. -
Anyone know if this updates the UI? Still using RX elements 6 that’s all and slightly confused seeing the screenshots…

Be careful though… that link’s addictive EDIT ‘Deals’ I mean!

Caldecott Music Group as owners of Bandlab aren’t listed as far as I can see, as I’ve already had a look ?

Not Liking the look of the New Sonar Interface

Yes completely. Just needs to be distinct. but these are minor things. And as people have said hopefully fixable. Tbf, am really really loving the new program now, more and more every time I use it. thread should be retitled ‘little quibbles’ to be more positive! -

Thanks for clarifying - and oh good not my eyes then! Yea I guess can live with it and accept small price to pay for being able to change background colours. Thinking about it, it would occasionally be an issue too in CbB with a dark theme, as been unsure a few times especially when using the FX master bypass on the control bar whether I have the master FX bins on/off, as use that button a lot. -

Might be just me, but does the On/Off button for FX bin on Track 1 inspector look lighter than Master channel despite both being ON? It has a green track colour applied yes, but that makes the button, when ON lighter in colour than the Master. I thought it was OFF -
Backstage Pass and Sonar Pricing
slenderhead replied to norfolkmastering's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Just to add, don’t know why the ‘link’ to trial Sonar is only at bottom of main site page and not available, or showing as option in the new Product centre (or whatever it’s called now!). THAT is a bit confusing. Especially if wanting to attract new or even existing users of CbB. -

This is my taking of it too, and I totally get what you say. To a degree yes, time spent just looking at it, playing around and testing with pos glitches to workflow is time wasted not actually creating. Am sure everyone does a bit of that too much! However, I have been so so tempted and now subscribed for the year. Cakewalk user (after logic went Mac only) since v8 pre X1, I’m not big on publishing my work or socials, but I think Bandlab doing a great job with cakewalk and it might even entice me to use some of the features the backstage pass offers. Not sure if others do but I use the BandLab app a lot on various devices too, on the go for ideas, voice notes, acting auditions, VO etc as well as music creation. Re display issues, I have a machine feeding my vocal booth for spoken word, and only have a tiny crappy monitor in there, one bonus I have found is that the new Sonar resolution knocks socks off CbB, not all about 4K if that makes sense to all users keep up good work bakers -

Quite liking the look and feel of new Sonar, also took me a while to realise that I could download and trial, without subscribing straight away, albeit without ability to save (fair enough). completely agree with all comments so far, at least a dark red dot on the track REC buttons would be nice, doesn’t have to be massive! Only problem I seem to have run into is that I seem to have lost the Pro Channel Saturation Knob. And the only thing I think I could have done, was during the install I did press OK (for a cakewalk core directory) when it mentioned to keep something default press CANCEL. all other installs since pre X1 have been, and still remained intact until this, with all original VSTs not on CbB still available (on an old 2 core machine aswell ?) which makes me wonder why just this plug in has been a problem for me on the new SONAR install.
