  1. Thanks! I was hoping for this type of feedback! Good to know how our music sounds from other peoples perspective!
  2. This is a song from a soon to be released 5 song EP by John Hamman and his guitarist Brandon. They are both very talented guys. John and his band(s) recorded all the guitars and vocals in another state . For this particular song however, I recorded and performed the drum tracks here in my home studio. First I got a scratch guitar and vocal track and a tempo. I then recorded the drums (in CBB to a click) and sent the other 2 guys back a rough drum mix and they then tracked the rest at their place using relatively cheap equipment. I live over 8 hrs apart from them so getting together wasn't possible. They then sent me all 5 completed tracks and I mixed and mastered the project. This song is one of my favorites. 3 of the 5 tunes were tracked at a different more professional studio with different personnel (including the drummer) and I only played the drums on 2 of the 5. This was just completed a few weeks ago. That said, the playing and recording is actually better from the "cheap stuff" (john and brandon and myself on drums) so it just goes to show, equipment isn't nearly as important as the performance and maybe the producer watching out for the project during recording! I had to do a lot of "fixing" on the 3 from the other "pro" studio because the engineer/producer just let way too much loose stuff get through. That said, the whole EP came out pretty great! I hope you all like this! CBB RULES!
  3. GAside from doing CD type of band productions, I also started doing a series at my studio called "Recorded LIVE! at Over the HIll. Its kind of inspired by the show Live at Daryl's House. I get a bunch of different talented musician friends from the Canton Ohio area for a 3 - 4 hour session and we play LIVE a number of songs, mostly covers, that we can all follow and I also video record these jams with multiple cameras. I have a small PA in my studio and a bunch of channels are split to both the PA and my interfaces. My drums are always ready to go. Then when done, I mix the material in CBB and do a lot of editing on the vocal tracks to trim out as much bleed as possible and do the same for the tom tracks but everything else is untouched and ALL the performance are 100% live! NO OVERDUBBING. Check out some of these videos in my playlist. These represent "highlights from the 5 shows I've done so far and I have some great ones planned for he next few months with more really talented local players! Canton, Ohio is rich with great musicians! I think you'll all find them really cool and enjoyable! I don't take these mixes anywhere near as far as I would if they were full blown CD productions but they so sound great and really "pop"! These should flow from one to the other so I think to skip you can hi the next arrow. ENJOY and FEEL FREE TO SUBSCRIBE AND SHARE THESE!!! btw: the upper left icon in the video shows a listing of the playlist so you can sample these however u want.
  4. 48-24 and never noticed any VST artifacts. 48 is standard for video and dithers just fine to 44.1. VSTs are designed to work at multiple sample rates so the artifact thing mentioned towards the top makes no sense to me
  5. This is a large session of close to 80+ tracks but done entirely in Sonar/Cbb. I would need some time to prep the session for use as I use many 3rd Party Plugs All live instruments.
  6. No reason to use splat any longer. No supported and CBB takes all your plugins etc from SONAR and utilizes them in CBB which at this point is far more stable than SPLAT and has great additional functionality. Just don't uninstall old Sonar installations
