  1. It's interesting to me that over on vi-control posters are focusing on the articulation negative track offset in the new Sonar. It's a feature that serious daw users have not been finding in their preferred daw despite lots of request.
  2. I've learned so much from Mike's Creative Sauce Youtube Cakewalk channel. And I've wondered where he would take his channel in the future. Link to his new Cakewalk Revealed youtube channel, focused entirely on Cakewalk, Next, Sonar. To support Mike's Cakewalk,Next and Sonar future episodes please visit and Subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@CakewalkRevealed Link to his explanation of his future plans.
  3. Thanks for the heads up. I loaded a heavy project and no issues. Very smooth assumption of all my Cakewalk configs, display layout on my 4 monitors was identical to Cakewalk. I'll have to do more exploring tomorrow.
  4. VSL Synchron Woodwinds complete with Lyrical Update as of Jan 2024. VSL Synchron Woodwinds Harder Jan 2024.zip
  5. Paul posted in several threads Vsl current solution is to use vst2 Player with Cakewalk. Paul stated there are no functional differences between Synchron vst2 and vst3.
  6. My solution was to use the vst2 version of Synchron Player. I have not found any negatives of using vst2 vs vst3. And instantiating the Synchron window is quicker in vst2.
  7. Update: Vicontrol thread mentions This is apparently a recently emerged issue between Vsl Synchron Player VST3 and Cakewalk. Vsl Syn Player vst2 works ok. I have a Cakewalk issue where VslSynchronPlayer vst2 does not scan into Cakewalk but the Surround version of same player does scan in. Both dll are located in same directory and are in the scan list. ........ I'll preface by saying I've been away from Cakewalk for 3 months. I am currently running 2023.09 Build 075 64bit. That update loaded the first time I ran Cakewalk after absence. Open new project. Insert Instrument VST Synchron VST3 Player all up to date. Within Synchron Player select a preset. Player loads preset, keyboard at bottom is empty until a key is pressed, press key and keyboard populates, press key and note is sounded. Save project as .cwp. Close project. Open same project. Sychron Player populates keyboard but pressing a key does not sound note. Select a different preset, Synchron Player loads preset but does not populate keyboard, press key and keyboard populates, press key and note is sounded. Is this an issue with VSL moving to ILOK and Cakewalk not properly handling the license check on reload of project? I have moved all my VSL to ILOK and all functions properly. Is this unique to my setup or do others see this issue? Thanks for any help.
  8. i'll preface by saying I've been away from Cakewalk and midi since the beginning of the year. I'm back and one of my first large tasks was to migrate VSL Synchron libraries to Ilok. I have downloaded all of my previously owned VST libraries and can use Synchron vst3 in new Cakewalk projects, save and load projects with Synchron Ilok libraries, etc. However when I attempt to open an existing project that contains Synchron vst3 (non-Ilok 8 months ago) as an instrument the loading proceeds to "loading synth data Synchron player" and Cakewalk closes and exits, and creates a minidump file in the minidump directory (not the plugins minidump directory). I downloaded the minidump viewer but I'm not experienced at threading my way thru a dump. I'm trying to do my due diligence on this, I've searched here and on vsl forum, I haven't found any postings that seem related. I will eventually submit a issue request on this but didn't want to waste tech support time if the issue had been discussed and solved previously. Thanks for any comments.
  9. VSL BigBangOrch zip now contains Altair. VSL BigBangOrch by Harder.zip VSL Synchron Woodwinds.zip
  10. Paying 50% of 60% is paying 30% of full price. Pretty good deal.
  11. A search didn't find a mention of these midi loop packs here so: https://www.mediamusicmastery.com/ Scroll down for some effective and concise loops that can help you get thru a creative blackout. Fwiw
  12. I'm a hobbyist with no formal music education. I stumbled into midi 4 years ago. I discovered Cakewalk, I collected free libraries, I moved on to paid libraries, I stopped spending on the next great library. I realized that the true fun has to come from inside me and Scaler is now a tremendous resource in helping the creativity within me make use of those many libraries on my ssd. Scaler is fun!
  13. Seriously mate? This is a $50 program that is developed by a small team who use it themselves every day and which is worth every dime. This isn't a $500 program marketed by a conglomerate that has questionable usability.
  14. And this vid is definitely worth watching. Lots of info on creative team and their plans.
  15. My local library offers 2300 magazines (CM included) thru Libby, also over 20k magazines if I turn off the 'english only" filter. Quite the deal.
