Thanks for the clarification of Glenn's comment for me, Byron. I think I get it. The website says "View Official Scores licensed from print music publishers" and maybe I read more into that than it deserves.

Thanks, Glenn. I should have mentioned in the original post that I'm (happily) working with EWHO Opus. I've typically been using one track per part unless there are a lot of divisi sections that need to have separate controllers for whatever reason. I won't need or want any additional sample or synth content, just getting the notes into Cake. I can imagine that there might be quite a bit of work after the import. I wonder how time signature changes work in this scenario. Also there's the reconciliation between concert key instruments and non-concert key parts. Probably lots of other tweaks to keep you busy. The version on sale is Musescore Pro+

Hey all... Musescore is on sale and I have never used it but the idea of importing a classical score file into Cake has me intrigued. The projects I've been doing from scratch take me weeks to play in, and then weeks more to edit the controllers and tempo map. If you've done this sort of import from Musescore, did it work for you? Are there problems and pitfalls? Any advice would be appreciated.

I just found this thread in my own search for a midi signal flow chart. I can't find one. I'm going to put in a support request. Well... I got an answer back from Support. They don't have documentation of MIDI signal flow in Cakewalk. They sent me a link to MIDI mapping, which is only available in the web app (which I don't use). Also, it's not what I asked for. Also... it doesn't matter why I want it. Software should be documented and when I get it, if I ever do, I am capable of determining whether or not I can use it.

Hi, Daniel... I am about to start up an orchestral project with EWHO. I'm doing Barber's First Essay for Orchestra. I have created my own template for EWHO that switch articulations by changing the MIDI channel of the track output. So... when I insert a new articulation in the articulation lane it is actually changing the MIDI channel output of the track to the Play instance. The KS patches in EWHO work by sending a note number and they work great but the library KS patches don't expose much of the library. So, I was completely thrilled to learn that Articulation Maps support channel switching. (Thanks to Nico in the FB group Virtual Orchestration. Also you should consider joining the Cakewalk/Sonar User Group). The attached photo shows how to set up an articulation for a multi-patch instrument in EWHO. You create the instrument by loading all the patches you want to use into an instance of Play, then create an articulation entry for each articulation as shown. You need an entry for both Note and CC so your controllers are directed to the same MIDI channel as the note. So the 1-16 setting for "In" will take any input and output it on channel 2 (for the spiccato articulation shown). It's a bit of work to enter these. Also, since the library is so complete it presents a lot of choices and you might have to edit your patch list and articulation maps for specific projects. I hope this helps. Also... just in case you don't know it already, make sure you understand how the Mod Wheel works with this library because you might save yourself hours of frustration. ?
