  1. I can't believe I don't know this: what is the proper way to uninstall the latest beta Cakewalk and revert to the previous version? Is it just to re-install the previous version?
  2. Downgraded to build 55 and the problem persists. It's now CPU spiking on projects that previously werent. Anyone else having this issue?
  3. Here is a link to the full download: link removed by admin
  4. hey @Billy86 did you download the Soundtoys beta? The beta totally cured all gaps/glitching before this latest version of Cakewalk
  5. Thanks Will, but I haven't installed Next Also havent tried previous versions of Soundtoys. Anyone else having these issues on the last beta?
  6. Slight bump of this thread, since its relevant. It seems the newest beta 2023.09 build 062 has somehow re-introduced the crackling and audio gaps with Soundtoys plugins. Disabling them allows crisp and clear audio, while enabling them brings back cracking. Has anyone else noticed this happening with the latest beta?
  7. Yes. Each "tap" (A or B) can have its own time and filter settings. This allows for wide stereo use. The real magic for me is the 2x, 4x, and 8x which changes the playback clock and lowers the fidelity accordingly. Also, the FREEZE button can be fun. Soundtoys did a pretty good job of modelling all the parts of the original, so you get saturation/distortion at multiple points in the signal path.
  8. @Billy86 : same here. I don't think so. I wonder if they have a 90-120 day bake like other software companies. In the meantime, watch here for my comparison vs. the real hardware.
  9. Thanks for this! So far, so good with the Super Plate VST3. No more audio gaps!
  10. Thanks Noel--- almost every SoundToys VST3 plugin in version 5.4.1 causes "audio gap" on playback as I posted about here at about a minute of playback. The VST2 equivalent has no such issue that I've been able to reproduce, and I've been trying for a few days now.
  11. DON'T BE LIKE ME: Before trying the VST3 to VST2 swap-back to fix gapping audio, I forgot to uninstall the VST3 versions of SoundToys 5.4.1. Some of them will still be forced in place with the "Hide Related VST2 plugins" in Preferences. Now with VST3 fully uninstalled and VST2 re-installed, things seem to be working (even the new SuperPlate which is great)
  12. ...well spoke/typed too soon. Audio gaps are present with VST2 versions of them as well.
  13. Holy cow--- I didn't think to try the VST2 version for my "gap in audio playback with SoundToys" problem. Will try that until they resolve it.
  14. Has anyone heard back from SoundToys on this yet? I have not and will probably email them again about this.
  15. Dang. Thanks for the update. I'll update this post if/when they have a fix.
  16. ...after fully uninstalling all SoundToys--- had an older installation pre-5.4.x there--- and reinstalling, its BETTER, but still gaps. iLok showing no issues either. I've reported this to SoundToys. Hopefully they get back to me, because I really love these plugins.
  17. Yup, I've got 5.4.1.17134 running. One thing I haven't tried: uninstalling and reinstalling. I'll try that and report back.
  18. Narrowed this down a bit with a test sequence of 5 stereo audio tracks. Seems to be that if I turn all the SoundToys plugins OFF, the gaps/dropouts no longer happen. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
  19. Yup, agreed. None of these are in demo mode, and I've re-authorized them. Playback gaps still happening. Narrowed it down to the SoundToys 5.4.1 and Sausage Fattener. Will try adding the same amount of VST's, but NOT the above to see if it's plugin count.
  20. Long time Cakewalk/Bandlab user here. 2022.11 build 21 RME Fireface UFX I've noticed in the last two weeks normal projects suddenly have gaps in playback audio. Sometimes as frequently as every minute, sometimes not until the middle of the song, ALL audio drops out for less than a second, then resumes. Strangely, timing doesn't seem to be affected by this, so after the gap it continues as if nothing happened, right in time. Other computer audio (YouTube, Sirius, Windows Media Music playback) doesn't exhibit this behavior. I originally thought I had changed something, but all preferences seem to be the same. I am going through all my plugins one by one to see which ones may be the culprit, including: SoundToys 5.4.1 UAD Eventide Sausage Fattener Anyone else having the same issue? I haven't rescanned audio buffer/driver in awhile (maybe a year?) as it does when you first setup Cakewalk and now I can't remember how to do it. That might be built in these days.
  21. ahhhhhhh thanks @scook you're the best!
  22. Had a format/reinstall and I can't remember if I ever found a way to get rid of the 5 most recent VST's used which always display at the top? Is there a way to do this, or is it stuck there? Thanks in advance!
  23. (Thanks for your replies) Sorry, I meant two notices in my Cakewalk account online. No link to download standalone v1.0.2.18 from there. This is what I did for PC4K installation, which worked. All my CCC items are just RED. I can't install the libraries either, for example, with similar results. In a burst of smart, I copied the folder OLD_C_DRIVE:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal\ProChannelConcreteLimiter and it shows up, but doesnt pass audio and says "Plugin Not Installed Correctly"
  24. Had to do a format/re-install, and lost some ProChannel plugins I regularly use. I was able to get PC4k installed, no problem. But I can't find Concrete Limiter, despite having 2 of them in my account. When I try to install via Command Center, it says "Cannot locate the required version of the program on this system. Please install the correct version of the program to use this patch" Is there a workaround?
  25. Like OP, I've also had this since forever (more than 10+ years now?) Sonar crashes; this happens randomly at random times, its not a plugin or a WoW or thing I'm doing, but it stays in memory until I try to "force close" it from Task Manager. Most of the time Sonar will restart. Otherwise I must reboot. I've brought this up over the years here, but never got a final answer on it. I think this is still hardware driver related. I believe this is still the M-Audio MIDISPORT 8x8 driver, although it also might be the NI Maschine hardware driver. I don't think its RME drivers as I've never seen them stuck.
