  1. Most of the 3rd party products they have included have either been reincluded (Overloud), those that haven't I have either gone with the full version or decided I don't need if I haven't forgotten about altogether. On the other hand, there are a lot of products developed by Cakewalk which were in Platinum era Sonar but don't exist in the new iteration. I wouldn't mind seeing most of these plugins updated and added back, if only that it will make my life easier the next time I do a clean install. Even so, there are a handful of features I'd rather see. First would be some sort of painless method of updating stored instances of Kontakt to the latest versions. Other hosts can do this. Second would be some sort of tagged browsing system for track templates and FZ chains. Third, in most cases I find the containers for FX chains to be an encumbrance and would like to have the ability to drag and drop from the browser without having to extract plugins from the container.
  2. Which patch banks are people liking here? It's kind of hard for me to remember which were ones I bought vs the random freebies or bundleware. I'm pretty sure that things like Synthetic Trap aren't ones I would have purchased on their own. I do remember having bought the Shofuku Cartridge series. It's impressive programming from a DX back in the day, but there's nothing here that stands out in comparison to all the other sounds I have. I like the Witcher tribute for it's fun creepy atmospheric sounds. So far I have been less than impressed with the Artist tribute packs that I have. Autretech is an exception, mostly because I don't know their music and can appreciate the sounds for what they are.
  3. I think I mentioned earlier in the thread that I found a compatible DXi version of Rapture on a backup drive. I did check my original account, but I don't believe that specific version was available there. That is good advice in general, though. All's good, not much need to post to this thread any further.
  4. Thanks. Although my issue was a bit specific for the spreadsheet this will be helpful the next time I replace my DAW with a new one.
  5. Most of us didn't get this as a gift though. It's a pretty cool update. The servers are getting hit pretty hard now.
  6. I like it a lot for post-rock type delays with a bit of modulation, as well as rhythmic delays. I also can get a cool fake chorus sound out of it. I don't remember if it does a Binson but for a blurry delay I go with the oilcan echo from Echoes anyway. It also gets into some of the sounds Objeq Delay does, although I think that one is easier to use. There are a lot of cool models in it and a few that just sound metallic or overly distorted. There's a lot to figure out in that one. I'll confess that many times I'll choose a simpler delay like Replika or Echoes to avoid option paralysis.
  7. MTurboDelay is the effect of theirs I use most. There's very little in the way of delays that it doesn't do. There aren't a lot of things that do what MRhythmizer does either.
  8. I was getting issues where the file path was too long so I had to move the zip files up. This is really not turning out to be worth it for me.
  9. These guys are annoying me. They put zip archives inside zip archives. Then on top of that, I had to actually reset permissions on some of the files so I could extract them. That and how many subdirectories do they need? This is literally the path of how far I have to go to find the midi files in one library. F:\Downloads\MIDI Klowd\synthwave-midi-kits-vol-1\MIDI Klowd - Synthwave MIDI Kits Vol 1\synthwave-midi-kits-v1\SYNTHWAVE_MIDI_KITS_V1\Synthwave MIDI Kits V1\Kit 1 B flat 90BPM\MIDI
  10. Does anyone know if they ever offer cheaper upgrades/crossgrades to Essential users?
  11. It's free with rig library purchases. It also has been given away from time to time, but it's been a paid product.
  12. If they come out with a Max 5, the only things they could add are T-Racks 6 and the Morley collection for Amplitube. I think they will probably release something else in the meantime, otherwise it would be a pretty lean upgrade. As for the second question, I wouldn't count on it. It's questionable for the people who have come in under the group buys and have most of the included gear. It's a spectacular deal for someone who didn't have any of the included products. Even for someone who was only interested in any one of Amplitube or T-Racks or the MODO series it would be a pretty good deal.
  13. 1.2.2 is the version where they stopped supporting Rapture on DX. And when I say stopped supporting I mean the installer went out and removed the existing DX. In other words 1.22 is the root cause of the problem I had.
  14. Actually I was in the process of converting some old P5 projects to Sonar. All I needed was to be able to load it to see which presets I was using and then export the patterns and recreate in Sonar with a 64 bit version of the plugin. For what it's worth, I don't remember which version I ended up loading but it was either 1.2 or 1.2.1. I don't believe that version was available through my legacy account but I found it on a backup drive.
