Is there still a latency in the track of the Cake Walk Sonar after the plugin is closed (only closed, not deleted)? Does Cakewalk sonar have a plugin sleep function similar to other DAWs, which means that there will be no delay when the plugin is closed

With any external MIDI file, you should check the MIDI events and their values are actually supported by the synth you're using.

Also, the velocity of the notes is very quiet.

I am a video blogger promoting Cakewalk from China. Recently, my fans have noticed that some MIDI files cannot produce sound on instrument tracks in Sonar and CbB, but they are normal on other DAWs. You know, as a Cakewalk video blogger, I really hope my fans can talk more about the advantages of Cakewalk,. So I'm curious why this happened?

In my testing, I found that when I manually adjusted the RPN parameters, the instrument track would produce sound normally. However, this does not require manual adjustment in other DAWs and can be used directly (I tested DAWs such as Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, etc.)

The following are MIDI files that encountered problems. We hope that the Cakewalk staff can help test them to see why the problem occurred and how to make Sonar use these "strange" MIDI files directly like other DAWs?

After the latest 2025.9 (Build032) update, I am unable to use the free sampling library mentioned in the update log. In the browser on the right, I can see the "Free" icon, but when I drag the free samples into the track, it prompts me to "get membership"
