  1. but... at an average 70% off retail price that means a savings of at least $3,264 Thy choicest gifts in store, Oh him be pleased to pour, Long may he reign. May he defend our deals And ever give us cause To sing with heart and voice God save the king.
  2. Note that this discount replaces the bundle discounts (the final price is 50% off the unbundled price, not 50% off the bundle price)
  3. >A medium-sized ensemble of harps struck with a hammer. Sampled in insane detail in a stunning concert hall, with 8 in-house custom presets What? Only insane? not "painstaking detail"?
  4. I was trying to find what limitations are there for the free/demo versions of the various synths at discodsp but it wasn't very clear. It looks like it could be a commercial vs non-commercial use limitation but GPLv2 doesn't really allow limiting the use, only the distribution
  5. Wrt modulation effects, don't miss Arturia's bi-tron (the hardware mu-tron biphase was itself an evolution of the uni-vibe)
  6. Sounds like a nasty joke about the current gap in our purchase histories at JRR... (which btw, Eric Dahlberg has mentioned it is expected to be fixed in September)
  7. And, update plan coverage for this plugin expires 6 months later than the previous... ?
  8. https://new.steinberg.net/promotion/dorico-crossgrade/?utm_campaign=315637515412_dorico_crossgrade&utm_content=crossgrade_us-de-es-fr-row_en-de-es-fr-ja&utm_medium=dorico&utm_source=newsletter Regular crossgrade price $279.99, now $140. Available at some dealers as well (e.g., Sweetwater https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Dorico35PCg--steinberg-dorico-pro-3.5-crossgrade-download). Not discounted (yet?) at JRRShop Email just says "for a limited time" without a specific date but Sweetwater indicates "Effective now through September 16th, 2020."
  9. Since you're asking... Yes I bought it and I like it. I also bought the "exit aisle deal", Etherealwinds Harp II for base price, which I also like.
  10. When I am trying to figure out if a store is legit or it is selling shady versions I check if they are a dealer for the brands they distribute. E.g., see pluginfox in this list https://www.plugivery.com/about/dealers/
  11. The English edition is out. Now I can read what's actually interesting instead of basing my "interests" on the questions being asked https://www.falkemedia-shop.de/sound/beat-english/?p=1 Another download that is new for this month is that the "Beat Studio" includes DDMF The Strip
  12. Actually, I think they are but in a different way. I have some 32-bit vst2's that I keep struggling with ways to make them work in newer hosts (tubeohm vintage, xhun ironaxe, to name a couple).
  13. PSP N2O Semi-modular multi-effect plug-in. $29 at audiodeluxe https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/psp-audioware-n2o Personally I find this plugin quite interesting for creative manipulation of samples. Before/After example of door closing sound converted to clap/snare with N2O: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AprFlDcoRnnogeynDrd_iJJQvn2QQOw?e=NIWdWp
  14. In case anyone is interested, and missed IK's June offer for newsletter subscribers, and is not already planning on getting it in the VI group buy... https://www.falkemedia-shop.de/sound/beat/beat-09/2020?number=beat092020 There are a few other goodies as well, and interesting articles about Roland, Elektron & Focal products
  15. For those intending to crossgrade: do it early and don't wait until the end of the sale, because the process takes a few days. I did a crossgrade to HALion 6 during a past sale, on the last day of the sale. I received the approval after the sale was over and the shop was back to the original price. After a few emails back and forth the solution was to purchase the approved crossgrade at full price, email the receipt to the support person and wait for a partial refund. They did honor the deal, but temporarily paying full price wasn't that comfortable. BTW: Any rumors of a HALion 7? given Steinberg's upgrade policies it may be worth it to wait before activating
  16. The link I posted is for perpetual, 1-year renewal for support & upgrades Avid raised prices heavily ($199 currently). This may be "old stock" from before that increase but it still works (I did purchase 2 and the codes extended by 2 years the support&upgrade expiration date in my account)
  17. https://www.jrrshop.com/avid-pro-tools-annual-update-plan $88.11 USD with code: FORUM
  18. The upgrade price is not restricted to v9, older versions too v8 is still available at https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/fanatical-music-bundle-by-magix for $10
  19. This is giving me me an error "This coupon has already been applied"
  20. If you're thinking about Spectralayers and also have Magix (Sony) Vegas, (e.g., from a humblebundle) you may want to look at the upgrade offers $199 - Vegas 18 Edit + Spectralayers 7 $249 - Vegas 18 Pro + Spectralayers 7 + Soundforge 14 $349 - Vegas 18 Suite + Spectralayers 7 + Soundforge 14 + Zynaptiq Unveil https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vegas-pro/ Or, $199 for upgrading samplitude to X5 + Soundforge 13 (older) + Spectralayers 7 (until Aug 16) https://www.magix.com/us/music/samplitude/suite/ Or, $249 for upgrading SoundForge 14 Suite + Spectralayers 7 + Convology XT + Vintage Effects plugins https://www.magix.com/us/music/sound-forge/sound-forge-pro/
  21. According to the kvr discussion, the site is using an outdated version of TLS and that's what the browsers are reporting on. Which would translate to, it's a "not safe because your communication with the server is not that difficult to eavesdrop on" Since you would pay with paypal, your financial info should be ok (because paypal takes over at that point and the encryption no longer depends on hgsounds). But the password for your account with HGSounds could be eavesdropped on. Make sure you use a unique password that you don't use anywhere else. (note: I'm trying to help but I'm not here to convince anyone. If what I'm saying sounds like gobbledygook or still unreliable, just skip the purchase)

  23. Got a response from Christoph at Ujam support: The 3 to 4 adds DANDY to your Virtual Bassists Bundle. No matter if it is a version 1 or 2 bundle. It does not upgrade your other Bassists. This you can do with the 3 to 3 upgrade
  24. The "3 to 4 bundle" is $79 I am still on v1, I wonder if "3 to 4" includes the v1 to v2 upgrades (the "normal" upgrade was called 3 to 3 and doesn't seem to be available anymore)
