Battery Acorn - Electronic someting or other

Yes, I used NI Battery for this. The main kit I used was the arcocen kit. My younger son saw it and said you should name it Battery Acorn. And so I did. -

Thanks. -
I'm never sure about genres. I'm just trying to make something that keeps me entertained. I hope it keeps you somewhat entertained, too. Jeff

Everything about this is professional. Totally had me bouncing in me chair. Really well done! Jeff

At The End Of Forever - with Markno999 - remixed

I enjoyed that. Jeff -
That was perfect, in my opinion. All the work on the different versions was worth it. I love the pulsing opening synth, and then the addition of the drums really adds to the whole thing. What's the picture from? At first I thought It was Battlestar Galactica, but now, I'm not sure. Jeff

Very nice. I didn't hear the original, but I enjoyed this one. Vocal's sound great. Jeff

I was digging through old hard drives this past weekend and found some recordings I did around 13 years ago or so, around the time my first son was born. The old piano VST that I used at that time was pretty tinny, so I spruced them up with Native Instruments The Grandeur. These two were probably the hardest songs I ever attempted. Carolina Shout especially was beast. I'm pretty sure I couldn't pull it off half as well any more. I hope you enjoy, and any feedback is always appreciated. Edit to add that Pop's Dilemma was written by James Booker, and Carolina Shout by James Johnson. Jeff

Thanks, Tom. Appreciate the feedback.

Lot of really cool stuff going on. I really liked it. Maybe it's intentional , but there is something about the timing between the synth and the percussion that from around 0:14 to 0:30 that seems off to me, almost like they are playing at slightly different tempos. jeff

Appreciate it! jeff

Thanks for the kind words. Sadly this stretched my guitar skills to the limit. Any guitar jam is well beyond my abilities ? jeff

I enjoyed that. I never saw this particular episode, but looked it up and found that Rod Serling considered this his favorite episode from the first season. I'll have to check it out. jeff

I agree, this has potential. It's got a good drive to it, and the synth sounds you selected. You've got a good base, so I'm sure if you keep at it you will find a tune that you feel better about to go with it. jeff

Well done. I enjoyed the listen. jeff

The energy in this is amazing. There are some places, like around 1:55, where I would have liked to have heard the lead synth a little better, but that's just a nit. Outstanding production!
