  1. You are always original with a uniquely recognizable sound. That was pretty fun. Jeff
  2. Wow. That is a really impressive job getting such a convincing performance from a virtual orchestra. A dynamic and expressive piece that really captures the emotions. Beautiful song too. Jeff
  3. Nice work with some really cool cord changes. There was some low organ in the left channel that seemed to me to muddy up the bass line, which is a shame because i rather like the bass. Well done. Jeff
  4. Sounds great on my cheap headphones. Fun pop tune. Well done. Jeff
  5. Thanks! Sounds better to me, too I was having fun with all the sound effects, but after I had let it sit for a while, I realized they were a little overbearing.
  6. Sadly, I didn't actually see the horses myself. My wife booked a tour, but she miscounted and turned out we were short a space when we went to the tour company. So I took one for the team and went back to the house while everyone else went to see the horses, but at least they took some good pictures.
  7. I agree with the others. Are really beautiful piece, and nice job on the flute.
  8. I updated the mix to lower the levels of some of the sound effects.
  9. Updated 7-9: I adjusted the mix to bring out the bass a little more and changed the arrangement slightly.
  10. You have developed your own unique thing and I really love that.
  11. That was pretty cool. I really liked the opening drum riff. But it really dominates the guitars when they come in. It would be good to bring them forward, and balance things out.
  12. I thought this did a pretty good job of capturing the feel of the original. Nice job.
  13. Awesome song, love the vibe. The vocals sound great, so I agree with, I'd like to hear them more up front.
  14. I never played Life Is Strange, so not sure whether the comparison is apt or not. It took me a couple of tries to get into Outer Wilds, but once I did, it quickly became one of my favorites in a long time. I don't remember where the bird sample came from. I got into a kick of downloading free samples for a while wherever I could find them, but I've long since forgotten where I got them.
  15. Thanks so much! Yes, I did have a story in mind when I was putting it together. I had just finished the game "The Outer Wilds" when I started working on this, and was inspired by it. (Small aside - If you are into video games and you haven't tried it, check it out!). Also, I had done a couple of other space themed songs recently. So, while I was working on it, I imagined a lonely astronaut (maybe the Rocket Man) finally finishing his last job after many years. At last he gets take one final trip, to go home. All the little clicky bits are him trying to get his ship to work, the pings and pongs and other beeps and boops are satellites or maybe alien ships whizzing by. When the choir and strings hit, he's finally caught sight of home, and then he lands, takes off his helmet, and just listens to the birds. Jeff
  16. I was going to say that, but you beat me to the puch Fun tune.
  17. Awesome job! I'm not a huge metal fan, but the energy in this is infectious. Jeff

Cool song. I agree with the comment about the B3s - it's way out front and overpowers everything else when it comes in. Too me the mix sounded a little harsh too, like there was a little too much high end.
  19. This is a really impressive piece of work. Others have mentioned the piano, which sounded great, but I also really liked the composition and chord changes you used. Well done!
  20. I Just got back from our summer vacation. For the past few years, I have tried to write a small song while on vacation, and see if I can finish it before the end of the week. Whatever gets done, gets done. I usually get up early to work on it for an hour or so before heading out for sightseeing and the like. This was made almost entirely on my Android tablet using FL Studio Mobile, with just a little bit of mastering with Ozone 9 in Cakewalk when I got home. The photos are from various places we visited. Comments, critiques and suggestions for improvement are always welcome. Jeff
  21. Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment, Freddy. Much appreciated!
