  1. Yup. And to be 100% certain, I just tested it with and without that setting applied. I also tested it with and without the "Apply Workspace on Project Load" toggle applied, but nothing seems to have any influence over the main window on startup. But, at this point, I'm like 90% confident that it's a bug relating to alternative snap positions. As another test, I just tried full-screening the entire Cakewalk window, closing the program and– tada! It remembered to stay full screen when I reopened it. So, it seems like Cakewalk only struggles to remember its position when you're using a snap position that isn't full screen. In my case, I snap the main window into the left half of my monitor and then drag the console view into its own window to fill the right half of my monitor. EDIT: Oh and semi-related but the Quick Start window doesn't seem to remember its size/position no matter what. That's sorta unrelated but also would be super nice if it did.
  2. Ahh, I see what it is. I played around with it more, and the buttons do function correctly, but only after I've opened a project file. I tried adjusting everything and saving a new workspace anyway just to see, but it didn't seem to have any effect when re-opening Cakewalk. So, unfortunately, I'm still not sure this will work for me.
  3. The "Manage Workspaces" menu item is greyed out for me when I try to click it, and I can't seem to figure out why. I tried switching between a few workspaces, but it stays grey no matter what. I'll look into the screensets, but it seems like those are stored within a project, and I'm trying to configure how my Cakewalk window opens even before I've selected and loaded a project. In my ideal scenario here, I'm trying to configure it so that when I click the Cakewalk icon in my hotbar, it opens the software already laid out how I like it, so I can immediately start browsing project files via the Quick Start menu (which also needs some improvements imo). Right now, I open Cakewalk, have to fuss with the window for a few seconds, which in turn closes the Quick Start menu (very annoying), so then I put my main window back how I like it, then I have to go to the menu and manually reopen the Quick Start menu, then I have to drag THAT into a size/position that makes it easy to see, and then I can finally start looking through project files to open whatever I wanted to work on. And I have to do this every single time I open Cakewalk, which can be multiple times a day. It's very annoying.
  4. Hmm. I'm not sure it is a driver issue. I just tried testing it with a few other programs (Steam, Notion, Slack, and Discord) on my machine, and they all seemed to function correctly. No matter how I sized or placed the window, they all jump right back into place when closing/reopening the software. Even if I fully quit the program and restart it. So, I'm back to thinking this is some kind of bug with Cakewalk.
  5. I do pay for the membership, yeah. How do you configure the Windows Layouts in Workspaces? I haven't seen anything about that anywhere, but that sounds promising. I'm just looking for a simple left half/right left screen layout, so nothing complicated. Which screenset are you referring to? I'm not familiar with that
  6. Yeah, I use a custom template file that I created and periodically update. But this issue occurs immediately upon starting the Cakewalk program, well before I've opened a project file or anything. I use an Odyssey G9 57" monitor, so I recognize that I'm an edge case as far as that goes, but I don't think this issue is related to this specific monitor. Maybe all ultrawide monitors? My scaling is set to 150% but not sure how that would affect the window sizing. Would it...? Oh and I just tried manually resizing it instead of dragging it– I can't believe it but that actually worked! 🤦‍♂️ How do I get it to completely fill the left half of my monitor though? And is that considered a bug with Cakewalk or Windows? EDIT: I played around with it more and it does seem like a bug with window snapping. Manual adjustments to the main window are remembered by Cakewalk, but whenever I try to snap a window into place it goes back to the previous manual adjustment on the next startup.
  7. No, I mean the main Cakewalk window itself. You can see in the video I linked that when I boot up Cakewalk it opens in a really small window hidden behind the quick start window rather than the full sized window that I have to adjust it to. My "feature request" so to speak is that when I open cakewalk the main full window that appears matches the same size and position as it was in when I last closed the program i.e. at the end of my recorded video. As far as I can tell, it isn't possible to do that currently, and I just feel like it's surely something that every user would benefit from, right? Who doesn't want their window to return to its last position? I struggle to think of a situation where you wouldn't want that. There may be one, but I have to think the majority of users aren't in that boat.
  8. I would love it if Cakewalk remembered the placement and size of its last known window placement and resumed that positioning when re-opening the program. I work on an ultrawide monitor, and I have to manually lay out my windows every single time I open the software. See here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19e9RaI3HgAtVOoHzXDKrQxjoIu9lepl_/view?usp=sharing I know it's a small issue to complain about, but having to do this every time seriously adds up for me.
  9. Is it possible to make this toggleable somewhere? I would also love it if Cakewalk remembered the placement and size of its last known window placement and resumed that positioning when re-opening the program. I work on an ultrawide monitor, and I have to manually lay out my windows every single time I open the software. See here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19e9RaI3HgAtVOoHzXDKrQxjoIu9lepl_/view?usp=sharing I know it's a small issue to complain about, but these two things seriously add up for me.
  10. I made a separate post, but sharing here as well– For whatever reason, when I start Cakewalk Sonar and click the main program window, it causes the Quick Start Menu to disappear. This continues to occur even when I manually re-open the quick start menu. Screen Recording: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TzT04H8DsUQAIRVCJ-6Doh_IzDvUm_JR/view?usp=sharing It's a small thing but I like to resize my window before interacting with the quick start menu, so it adds an extra few clicks to my workflow. Small but noticeable over time!
  11. For whatever reason, when I start Cakewalk Sonar and click the main program window, it causes the Quick Start Menu to disappear. This continues to occur even when I manually re-open the quick start menu. I'm using version 2025.07, but I'm not sure if it directly relates to that or not– hence the new post.
