  1. UPDATE - SOLVED!! I found the issue was the plug-in "ASIO Link Pro Tool" - which I had started using because - https://www.reddit.com/r/Cakewalk/comments/1lrvllc/cakewalk_two_keyboards_obs_studio_not_detecting/ However today I found uninstalling "ASIO Link Pro Tool" cured the intermittent drop-outs I was experiencing in Cakewalk I googled - and found I wasn't the only one who had that issue - https://www.reddit.com/r/audioengineering/comments/nmoget/asio_link_pro_cutting_out/ I did NOT try the patch that fixes it - but am including the links for anyone who might need them - https://give.academy/ODeusASIOLinkProPatcher/ and - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wq86UCOCz3I However after fiddling with both Cakewalk AND OBS Studio - I managed to find a way to NOT use "ASIO Link Pro Tool" - and get OBS Studio to detect both of my keyboards (refer to my OP below ++++++++ for the chain of hardware) - Cakewalk - EDIT - PREFERENCES - PLAYBACK AND RECORDING - change "ASIO" to "WASAPI SHARED" OBS Studio - A) For the Midi controller controlling the Behringer Pro 800 synth - with their output from the Fender guitar amp - create an AUDIO INPUT CAPTURE with the source "Device" being the Guitar amp NOTE - my USB Audio interface needs to be switched on for the above trio to work together - although none of them need to be plugged into it B) For the Yamaha keyboard controlling the VST plug-ins in Cakewalk - go to SETTINGS - AUDIO - and for "Desktop Audio" choose the Yamaha keyboard Original thread below ++++++++ My original post in this thread here - The issue - https://youtu.be/iGcLh3cz7cQ My set-up - A) M-Audio midi controller (Oxygen Pro Mini) controls my Behringer Pro 800 synthesizer - both connected via USB to my PC - and the Pro 800 synth is connected to my Fender Mustang GT-40 guitar amp - no issues on Cakewalk with those three working together nicely - it is the top-most track "MIDI" in the video link B) My Yamaha PSR EW-425 Arranger keyboard controls the other instruments - i.e. Kontakt "Komplete Kontrol" "Synth 1 Librarian" x 2 "RT 7070" Drum machine (which is a lovely free substitute for the Roland 707 Drum machine I found today) For some reason - on Cakewalk the Audio as you will hear in the video cuts out for a few seconds every so often (I've only activated the Drums here to make it easier to hear the Audio drops - but the same issue is with the instruments in "Komplete Kontrol" / and the Tones in "Synth 1") I've googled for various fixes - none of which cure it Also - I am using the "ASIO Link Pro Tool" as the ASIO driver - as without that "OBS Studio" doesn't detect the Audio from my Yamaha keyboard - and Cakewalk doesn't like "ASIO4ALL" Any clues as to what might be causing that intermittent drop of Audio - and how to fix it? Note - I am NOT using my M-Audio "M-Track Duo" USB Audio interface - as having that switched on causes Popping and Stuttering in "OBS Studio" recordings - so the Yamaha having its own ASIO Soundcard and Speakers is effectively the Audio interface Many thanks
  2. WOW - I hope you are still reading this thread - I bought my Oxygen Pro Mini in June 2022 - and for the life of me couldn't figure out how to make Cakewalk interact with it - and all the detailed Youtube videos I watched didn't quite get me anywhere...but your revised instructions here seem to have nailed it! I at first thought only one or two of the Faders worked - until I realised that the other 2 or 3 Faders need the others to be ABOVE ZERO for you to be able to hear what they all are doing (i.e. if all of them are set to Zero - then it's likely adjusting just one of them won't let you hear what the others are capable of doing - so it's best to have them all AT LEAST slightly above Zero) And likewise at first I thought only one of 4 knobs was working - until again I found the other 3 will do something under certain adjustments of MORE than just one of the knobs I've now got the Oxygen Pro Mini attached to my Fender Mustang GT-40 guitar modelling amp (on which I've created a tone with guitar FX) - and the Oxygen is also connected to my new Behringer Pro-800 analogue synthesizer (on which I created a Preset) - so the 3 of them are working "together" And my Yamaha PSR EW425 Arranger keyboard is connected to Cakewalk to play VST instruments with my other hand THANK YOU for writing such a comprehensive list with all your own trials I've also managed to get knowledge on the Arp shortcuts by watching this - https://youtu.be/CrDsi-SrKoU - although I still can't figure out how to get the Arp to play more than the "latest" 3 or 4 notes I press in a sequence of say 10 to 20 notes Thanks again :-)
