  1. Yep this is pretty much what I was thinking.
  2. Thanks but I was actually talking about Cakewalk sonar the new version. I know that works like that in the bandlab version.
  3. You can only do EQ that one afaik, and only the bands, not HP / LP filters I believe. I want to add modules there and be able to expand them or see them somehow.
  4. Its annoying go have to switch to console view if I want to expand the prochannel module.
  5. I am using midi in and out, not usb. I enabled transmit MMC and Transmit Midi Start/Stop clock and enabled the ports. On the DS88 I have it in DAW control mode with Sync Output enabled and set to slave. Interface is scarlet 2i2 2nd gen. Any tips or videos? I've had it working in the past but can't remember the trick.
  6. I've been a user sonar 3 in like 2003 or something. They hit it out of the park. Really looking forward to see next update should be out very soon.
  7. I bet it will be. They have a heavy focus on UI usability and it has paid off already.
  8. I set it to the tungsten theme was my favorite.
  9. Okay and you're arguing that you should have eternal access to free software with no catch? You've already gotten what four to five years of free use of CdB yes? Are you not thankful for that? I just don't get it I don't understand why you guys want to die on that hill. The software is more than worth the asking price, and it's completely understandable to use a subscription model because you get constant updates and it makes everything more cohesive. And I started on sonar 3 back in about 2002 or thereabouts, and I have paid for it many times over. And I'm poor but m still happy as a clam to pay the asking price. Anyway you do what you do and I do what I do. I don't even know why I spent this much time on this thread. My bad.
  10. It's not a gray area. Pay for the software if you want to keep using it and keep getting updates. It's a subscription model. How have they not been clear about that?
  11. There are many things involved with what you are trying to do if not as simple as you want to be. But I think that you should start with learning about gain staging, and also high pass filters. Start with that and then move forward.
