I could be wrong, but so far as I have read (including new info from over the past few days), your being a "legacy user" makes no difference when it comes to buying into the currently available products from Bandlab.
IMPORTANT: Where it will make a difference so far as I have seen is that you would want your current / most up-to-date products from the previous owners (1990s -> 2017) on your computer if you decide to get the new products. In short--don't uninstall/delete them.
Why? When Bandlab came out with Cakewalk by Bandlab (sometimes abbreviated CbB by users), Bandlab thankfully made the decision to migrate products that came bundled with the older products (such as most of the old plug-ins).
Others here might have more recent details, if so, I defer to them.
So if im building a new pc I'm screwed if I dl the free version on a new install? I'm assuming any 64bit vst I have will function

NEED A SPECIFIC LINK TO UPGRADE TO THE NEW VERSION, GOING TO CAKEWALK.COM OR COMMAND CENTER ITS NOT GIVING ME AN OPTION BESIDES GOING TO BANDLAB AND THEN IT APPEARS TO BE A SUBSCRIPTION

Been a cakewalk user since early 1990s on a pc with Windows 3.1 and 2 mb ram, had every version and have been using Sonar Pro 64bit for over a decade windows 10 .
I have had no Sonar updates as far as I know since around 2017 besides reinstall. I'd prefer to stay with Sonar due to file cwp etc, prefer over protools cubase or logic. I realize bandlab is free have never tried it but my ??????? Is there a new build version or release of Sonar Pro available and how is it ???????
I have just built a new pc with windows 11 pro 64
SONAR PRO 64....... Is there a new build version or release of Sonar Pro available PLEASE ADVISE????
