Thank you so much for replying all. I feel like a fly trying to communicate with Einstein here. The only thing i am trying to achieve is to record myself playing. After some research i found that i could use cakewalk and some virtual instrument to convert the midi inputs from my piano to sounds in cakewalk. I have the Roland app, but that does not allow me to export the recordings in any way. Adding it as an instrument track (see attachment) indeed did make the difference. Now there is sound! But the sound quality is horrible! Why is that?

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer. This is a bit over my head, sorry. I have attempted to add another track with this instrument, same issue. No sound either on the recording or exported file, even though it looks to detect the inputs. Im not quite sure what "synth/instrument to convert midi data into sound (such as note on and note off commands) into sound)" means. Do i need to purchase another thing like a MIDI converter or something in order to record from my piano?

Hi all, I'm a noob so sorry for that. I have a roland FP10 piano that i have connected via USB to my computer. I am using sforzando for sound. I am not getting any sound, even inputs are clearly present in cakewalk. Also when i try to export as e.g. MP3, there is no sound in the file. I am able to select the piano as output, and then the piano will work as a speaker. Any obvious fix to this? I have verified that the speaker works of course. I've uploaded all the data i thought would be useful, let me know if there is anything else that would be nice to see.
