  1. So it appears YOU MUST set a loop region for the takes to keep recording distinctly. If I try to record multiple takes without loop function, they eventually start doubling and piling up after the 3rd or 4th take.
  2. I have watched several videos on doing multiple takes and then comping vocals but I am having problems. When I attempt to record multiple takes, Cakewalk functions as described at first. My different takes appear in track lanes and I can solo/toggle between them....BUT, after about the the 2nd or 3rd take, the lanes start to double up my performance ie, I can hear the previous take while recording the new one AND, the new takes 3,4,5 etc all have on of the early takes doubled on to new lane even thought the original is muted. What is going on?
  3. Yes, I dragged way out of sync and it still plays at the same point in time solo'd
  4. I am trying a vocal thickening trick of copy and pasting (drag copy etc) to 2 new tracks and nudging to the right a few milliseconds to create a slight delay. However, no matter how much I nudge (I even tried dragging it excessively to right) the track always starts playing the vocal at the same point in timeline....it starts playing even before the visible vocal clip is even approached. In other words, it plays it at the exact same point at which it was originally recorded, no matter how far down the timeline I drag it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thx!
  5. Do I need to change input monitoring level? How do I do that?
  6. I am using an UA Apollo Twin interface. Monitoring through headphones. Thx
  7. Hi all, I am trying to record an acoustic guitar over my preexisting project and the volume of the acoustic while recording is waaaay too loud. Nothing seems to lower it. I tried fader, input gain etc. It's very hard to nail the take because it's way louder than the drums. I got frustrated trying to figure out how to lower the monitor volume of the track so I tried cranking the drums. Still can't get it loud enough. Recorded volume is fine coming in about -10db. But it's so harsh and loud while tracking that I can't get in a groove. Help!
