  1. Well thanks for all those ideas..... I'm not getting notification on posts here so only just seen all this. Meantime I've been playing with VideoPad and looks like this will do what I need. What I'm actually doing is using a stem splitter to put one instrument on the left channel and the rest of the stems on the right channel. Looks like I can load the original video into VideoPad, mute the original audio, then add the stems and pan them left and right, and then trim the beginning as needed. I dont need any Fx etc so looks like this'll fix it. I had tried using VideoPad already but free version wont save as MP4 - however it saves as wmv which will do just fine.
  2. Wow. I realise Cakewalk is primarily for audio, but I thought it would be able to do a simple trim. Well at least that explains why I cant do it!! Thanks for the input.... I'll see if I've got something else that twill do it.
  3. I'm new to Cakewalk, but have managed to pretty much do want I want to with my project - the only thing is I need to trim/delete the first about 20 seconds. It really can't be that complicated, but I cant see how to do it. All the complicated stuff was pretty straightforward... but this basic task has me beaten after 2 hours! I have video with audio in wmv format. I'm in basic view with video thumbnails showing. I can select the portion of track I need to remove on the ribbon thingy at the top, and then delete the audio. But the video remains. I've tried delete special, and different views but cant see how to do it. Grateful for any ideas - and I have searched everywhere!
