  1. The MIDI file is bought, it controls an organ with electronic sounds using Roland Virtual Sound Canvas / Native Hammond B3 and a Sampler. I wanted to make some changes and came across this issue in Sonar. I just downloaded MidiYodi (a neat little midi file inspector!) and opened the same file. It told me there are 'some tracks that contain multiple channels - Do you want to separate the channels into separate tracks' It's a GM file and in Sonar I used open rather than import - So I just need to work out how to get Sonar to show the multiple-channel tracks as separate tracks.
  2. Hi there! I am having an issue with viewing a MIDI file in Sonar. The problem is when I open the same MIDI file in Anvil Studio I can see all the tracks. But in Sonar, there are certain tracks not showing up, specifically the tracks named 'Track XX' Any idea what could be causing this? I thought the missing tracks were placed into some folder but it doesn't appear that way. I'm new to Cakewalk so not fully sure how things work yet. Screenshots showing the problem: Anvil studio shows all the tracks. Sonar showing missing tracks
  3. Thanks for taking the time to look! I've used Workspaces to save a layout. I will just get used to the extra couple of clicks to get what I need
  4. Hello, Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am new to Cakewalk and my main DAW is ProTools, so this is a bit of a learning curve. ...But is there a way that when I open 'Piano Roll View' for it to display the MIDI Note Numbers automatically when I select PRV? At the moment, I right-click to bring up the 'Note Names' dialogue box and change the setting to '0..127' so the layout changes to this which is what I want. I have a batch of MIDI files to edit (400 +) so something just to save a couple of clicks would help speed up the process! Thanks, Danny
