  1. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1veV_h9ScUuVjLfPPk_mtqXzTT8Fkk4Di/view?usp=drive_link Another odd clue to this mystery (video on my google drive). With one track soloed, two other buses came to glitch out with their audio for a bit even though they should have been silent. Very odd.
  2. I noticed some odd behavior just now - the option to Suspend Audio Engine When Sonar is Not in Focus does not function. Perhaps a clue?
  3. It actually doesn't matter. Despite it working perfectly fine for years, I changed it yesterday to in a desperate attempt to get through this project because it's getting worse and it's still doing it even with Sonar being the only thing that has access to the driver.
  4. It happens with ASIO or WASAPI, though, so it's definitely not an ASIO-specific issue, whatever it is.
  5. It's not the specific driver, though, if that's what you're saying. It happens across any driver.
  6. Yeah, that's what i was trying to say. But it's a matter of 30 minutes to a couple of hours, not several hours.
  7. I've been trying to figure this out for ages and It's driving me crazy. It happened on OG Cakewalk too, but to a slightly lesser extent. Basically, if I'm working on a project everything will be fine for a while, and then a few dropouts and glitches will begin, then get worse and worse until it's a garbled mess. If I restart the DAW it's fine...until it starts again a while later. It's like a continuous cycle. I've tried every single bit of standard thing you can think of with adjusting the buffer size, checking and unchecking every option under Playback and Recording, raising the Playback and Record I/O buffer size in increments of 128 all the way up to 2048 (I've noticed zero difference with any number I've put here). I have 32 Gigs of ram and the max I've used when this happens is 50%, so it's definitely not a RAM issue. CPU is also around 40-50%. Using Volt 276's proprietary ASIO driver. I've tried WASAPI and it did the same thing, though it seemed like MAYBE it took a few more minutes to get garbled, but I'm honestly not sure on that. Actually, while writing this, I just noticed that I can make it happen quicker by doing stuff with Sonar playing in the background while I'm doing stuff on other programs, so maybe it's related to the audio driver fighting for control? I know that giving Cakewalk exclusive control is an option, but that would put a serious hamper on things and would be best avoided, but is a valid last resort if nothing else. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
  8. One thing that has driven me crazy about Sonar since migrating is the auto save - it's fantastic on one hand and has already saved me tons of work, but INCREDIBLY irritating on the other, because whenever it happens it closes whatever context menu you have open at the time, interrupting your workflow. If you could fix that issue I would be so very happy. I know I can just turn it off, but again...it's fantastic on the other hand, I just want it to quit shutting me down if I'm adjusting a curve or something, hahah.
  9. Nope, it's the same as it's always been, and I tried all of the different options when I noticed it just in case. Thank you, though.
  10. I'm having the weirdest problem all of a sudden. I just did a manual scan to add a few more plugins - a mix of instruments and effects. I usually immediately open up the browser and sort them to their appropriate categories when I do this, but suddenly my FX category was completely empty. Instruments still show up as expected. And when i use the drop down to insert an effect from the track or bus itself the effects are all there as expected. See screenshots... When I was initially scanning it got hung up, so I closed Cakewalk and re-opened and scanned again, then everything worked as expected until I noticed this. Maybe the database was messed up. Is there some way to just rebuild the VST categories database without having to reinstall Cakewalk? I don't know, that was my only thought as a potential issue, but I'm open to ideas! Edit: Reinstalling Cakewalk didn't help (I'm on 24.07, by the way). I also discovered that I can make a custom layout and add all the plugins back to folders, so I could do that as a work around if I need to. I'm just really hoping I don't need to, because I have over 2000 plugins (and an addiction, apparently, hah). It's just the default FX folder that's not showing up in the browser for some reason.
