Hi All, I am a newbie when it comes to Cakewalk and all that is involved with using a DAW and controller. I have followed download, setup, adding VSTs, selecting in and output setting etc. but, I cannot hear output sound through headphones or computer speakers. I am using the Yamaha YDS-120 Sax as a controller and while I can see the input signal from the controller in CW, I cannot hear anything through headphones. I would say, clearly I am doing something wrong but cannot figure it out. The goal is to use CW to provide better sound via a VST that is output to an external mixer to combine with external prerecorded tracks and practice. Any suggestions would be a great help! I recently began working with Band Lab and have dropped in some tracks and moving in the right direction, I think! I do have a couple basic questions. Does BL have it's own saxophone sounds, I guess like a VST, if so how do I find and install a few? Also, I am trying to use the Yamaha - 120 digital sax as a wind midi controller. The computer recognizes when the device is connected (via USB) but BL doesn't. Is there a particular setting I need to employ or, is that not an option with that device? I appreciate any input!
