I like this tune. Being from the New Orleans area it didn't even phase me about the drums. I've heard it a lot like that out this way. A tuba would be cool in there though. That's a good idea! : ) I'd leave the drums in as is. But with the tools we have, throw some marching drums in there as Kenny suggested and see what you get. If you like it, post another version for us to listen to.

Michael, I pretty much stand by my first post. It's a god song, done very well and mixed well also. I don't remember what the drums sounded like before, but I still like it! : )

Agreed!! 100%

Won't ever throw any rocks your way Larry ol buddy!! It's not as easy as your saying it is. That's all I am saying. There is a reason they are still using it, as Mark has suggested. Mark could explain it better than I could, he's worked with that kind of stuff. Not if Windows code don't support it. And what you think is the 'same menu' in the other DAW's maybe totally different code. Or as Piotr was saying, libs ( I think he's refering to ready-made-libraries) But after all said and done, the whole point I was getting at..... putting in a feature request has already been done. We got 'User Created Plugin Menus,' and 'Most Recent Plugins Used' features added. I think that's about it for that feature request! : ) I will also add, that I would be thrilled to be wrong!!!

I agree with you 100%. But you do have to remember, this was implemented when nobody had hundreds of plugins!! Ahh the old days!! : ) And I do like PA amp sims. I got the Rack and a few others also. But that IR menu is a PITFA!! I can understand Noel haveing come to Cakewalk as a new dev and this menu was already in place. He's stuck with it. Maybe something he wouldn't have used for all the reasons you stated. But for PA to use this nightmare of a menu knowing how many IR's there was going to be, is just plain bad design, I agree. I beta tested for a small amp sim outfit that had lots of IR's in the sim. And using that menu was not an option. They ended up creating a totally different program to accommodate all the IR options. Why did they go to that extreme? Because the beta testers complained about it enough that they saw the logic in what we were saying. Now PA can't tell me, not one of their beta testers didn't complain about that menu. I refuse to believe that. And you are saying that you have also told them something, so I have to assume others have said something too. But still, there it is. You just gotta SMFH!!! : )

When I go to Export I don't ever remember how the naming scheme plays out, and I always end up with some really long names on the files, when all I really want is Song Name/What kind of instrument/stem. Example: I Wanna Hold Your Hand_Bass_Stem, and not all that other stuff that's added.

Maybe I should have said from the onset that I have zero, let me restate that, ZERO knowledge in programing, developing software, or anything close to that nature. So I can not speak from experience. That said, I can speak from what I know. And I know what Noel has said, (and I have to admit that I also doubted this explanation too, but I believe him now). After myself and others complained about it again, they came up with the 'Most Recent Used' plugins stays at the top of that list. This was the devs response to trying to alleviate the 'Menu Issue' that we are talking about. And since they at least put some effort into trying to accommodate users, I am thinking that there is really nothing they can do about it, just as they said. If they could have put 'scroll mouse' into it, I really think they would have done that by now. They may have other plans for a different system and have not created the hierarchy menu like TwoNotes has due to not wanting to waste effort in something that they will throw away at some point. I just do not believe that Noel and his team are kicking it down the road! I think they are better than that.

This list that you are discussing is a Windows feature, not the plugin or CbB. And Windows does not feature mouse scrolling for this menu. IOW, the software devs can't add it, because Windows doesn't support it. I have (and many others) asked for this feature for a long time. Noel has explained it before. Don't quote me on this, but to get it to work like the Wall OF Sound menu would be about the best that could be done. And IIRC, CbB Plugin Manager with the ability to create your own plugin menus is the result of people complaining about the issue ya'll are discussing.

Grem replied to Scott R. Garrigus's topic in Deals
That thing looks pretty good. I have Fab Filter Timeless 2, and Unfiltered Audio's SandMan Pro, so I am not really sure I need another delay. But I am interested in this. -
That purp[le plugin has to be really good. I mean, look how many comps PA has already released. And they are going to release another comp? Another 1176 comp!!?

And there will be a new and improved "Smell-O-Vision" : ) Also comes with a variety of 'natural' sound effects with an advanced feature to turn these sound effects into IR's so that you can use them with your own sounds to get that authentic AR Bathroom sound in your own home!!
-
I wish I would have too!! Agreed about a kool way to end a deal.
-
As soon as I got to the site, I saw the AR name and knew the answer right away!! It just didn't register when I read your heading!!
-
Hmmm.... interesting. Is it included in Mercury? Will have to go see.

Thanks Ryan for coming here and addressing this issue.

Agreed. But make no mistake, there is a learning curve!! And at times it's a hard turn too!! As far as the sound of JS, I have got to liking them in certain songs. Well the Bonzo kit anyway. And learning which 'Style' to bring up so that you can make your own beat (IOW kick 1 & 3, Snr 2 & 4) then taking that simple beat, altering the timing/power adjustments in the bar menu controls, and adjusting the amount of swing with the Swing menu, there ain't a beat it can't lock into. Once you got the beat with the feel/groove you need/want, save that as a Style. Then take your new style and create a songs!! With into, verse, bridge, breaks all created for you!! It really is a fantastic drummer.

No update for my old FireFace 400!!

Maybe their English is not good enough to undersatnd what you told them? Pic worth a thousand words!!

And apparently he don't know!! Way to go BD!!

Another good video Chandler. Man that thing can do some stuff! That's more than I expected for sure. Should have figured that coming from Melda. That average IR single/folder is a really unique feature. As is the Harmonics and Resonate filters. When you clicked on the type of filter options my jaw dropped!! Having never used it or played with it, I imagine this thing could be used with surgical precision!! Way to go Melda! They have stepped up the bar for what a lowly Cabinet IR can do!!!

BassDaddy gonna think we talkn' 'bout him!!

I agree with not really liking the first version, the real version that came on with the cartoon show.
