Wow! And interesting they didn’t just give the “general purpose” but the actual orchestral staging version! I do find it weird that plugins given by focusrite don’t have any of the usual registration or copy protection. Worry that they will not be supported or updated like registered users get, but for free can’t complain! Wonder if there are upgrade paths?

Its been a while for me and groove3, but I believe there were key commands to get the online player to playback at faster speeds but cant seem to figure them out now. Anyone know? edit: The speed button at the bottom of the player window now showed up. Guess I had my window to small or something.

For many DAWs, they would be at least at version 16 by now given all the free .x (point) updates over the decade. Hard to believe Logic 10 was released in 2013 and just now its being named 11. And amazingly it seems to be a free upgrade for current users! What other DAW does this?! Extremely cool for budget conscious music producers! But yeah, I dont know why they chose THIS update to be 11. Seems there were previous updates more impactful and worthy of the name upgrade, at least based on what I've read so far on the new features which seem to be upgrade instruments and effects and not much upgraded DAW functionality . My biggest question is if Logic 11 projects will open in Logic 10? Was considering upgrading my laptop later this year, but if that makes my projects incompatible with my desktop studio, I might hold off (unless of course you can still instal Logic 10).

Anyone have feedback on forbidden planet? I already have my bases pretty covered orchestrally, but the orchestrator function in Hollywood orchestra seems like fun and if forbidden planet adds some value I might bite.

Just started in on the UVI bandwagon thanks to the image-line bundle & subsequent purchases, but do not yet have falcon. Does falcon go on sale often? Has it ever been this low before? Doing a quick google people claim it goes on sale at least once a year but searching this forum I cant seem to find any sales on falcon itself, only expansions. p.s. deal is good until march 18th

Thanks Solidos! I at first thought you got all 3 freebies for any Komplete (which would be a deal) but now realize you do not, so you are correct there is little point of upgrading now and should just wait until the inevitable 50% off sale

Wow this is getting confusing. So apparently you cannot "downgrade" from the different tiers, so if you say upgrade from K10 to K13u, you cannot buy K14s. Seems odd to me to deny sales but apparently thats how it works. But others say if you have another base license in your account, you can run two paths at the same time? I do have an old KOMPLETE 5 registration as well as a VERY old Kontakt 2, so I guess in theory its possible that one of these is upgraded to K14s. How I would specify which Komplete I'm upgrading I have no idea, but as I mentioned I do see both paths available in my offers. I'm just concerned that if I go to K14s that I'm now stuck on the standard level - though I guess I would still show an ultimate license in my account so I should still be able to upgrade back to that path.... Or perhaps its not worth all the worry for a free Groth and I should just use the tools I have lol!
