  1. Cal to split clip at measures Anybody?
  2. I have a project recorded on a 4 track tape machine. Click track and 3 instrument tracks. It was recorded at half speed. So it is faster at speed. I want to: Use click track to align to measures. Make midi tracks from each track. Reduce the speed to about 1/4 speed for the first 2 measures. Then, increase the tempo for each measure/section until the last section is again at the current speed. Suggestions for links to learn how to: align click to measures? increase tempo per measure? Rendering: I assume I will have to export tracks/stems to apply the speed changes to the audio/midi. Guidance please
  3. How? NOt listed separately on the applications page. Uninstall Halion? Might work... I should not have to do that.... CW should provide a way to select the proper driver.
  4. Update:::: just installed Reaper... Prompted to choose hardware... Selected ASIO.... and then used the next menu to select the driver from the three installed. Why is this so hard?
  5. Did that.... selecting asio results in CW wanting to use wasapi.... Cannot select the proper driver.
  6. Just spent a week messaging support trying to fix this. They appear to not know of this issue.... "Uninstall all other audio hardware devices." Doesn't work. Not a hardware issue. It is a CW/Sonar issue. Installed Halion..... obviously with the generic low latency asio driver. Now CW will NOT work with ASIO selected. And no obvious way to select the correct ASIO driver. Every other program i use provides for selecting the correct ASIO driver.... And all work. I suggested they talk with a programmer to find-out what the CW loader refers to for this setting. No response. SO::::: Anybody have an idea what file/registry entry is CW accessing to select the generic driver? What can i change to force CW to use the correct driver? Why does CW/Sonar NOT provide a way to select which ASIO driver? This has been an issue for years. Nothing in windows applications to uninstall... Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?
  7. Yeah.... Stop using the DAW you are used to,,, and pay big bucks to prove a point of some sort....
  8. Ideas about using CW/sonar included vsts to create the Pat metheny guitar tone, from in the beginning?
  9. Thank you all for your responses. Although a long time user, not much last couple of years. Setting up new comp, interface, patch panels, routings,.... Read the Help files. Tried as suggested above. Some changed. Others only for that track. 'Tis a puzzlement. Will try more today. Thank you
  10. How should i: Select lots of tracks/strips and change: volume/gain for all at once other settings
  11. Using a synth can provide some control over tones. multiple takes, contrast and compare, adjustments, pan, instruments ,.... Got Melda,...
  12. Replaced primary computer, and audio interface, and all the other stuff. Noticed a 'ground-loop' noise. Made it loud. Had lots of ideas. Changing speeds, note values,... result in midi triggers for whatever noises yearn for such relief. A whale song sample is a good idea. I wonder if there is a unique time signature used by each pod... Some sound the same ... But are different. Hmmmmm..... Thanks
