  1. Number 2 actually sounds like a really good option and not one I thought of!!!
  2. Ok, gonna read up on ripple edit and see if this could be a solution. Thanks so much …
  3. Ok, so the reason I don’t think I just deleted audio is because the click track is now off after this point. Deleting the audio would be fine because then I could just slip edit the portion needed back. This actually moved the timing of it all…😩
  4. I’m not even sure what ripple edit is but here’s a screen shot…
  5. So I majorly effed up one of my projects and I’m looking for some solid suggestions on how to fix this efficiently. I somehow “inserted” what amounts to be about 72 ms of silence in the middle of my song. It was definitely a fat finger on my keyboard. It split then nudged all my existing audio over by that amount and there is a big empty gap where there used to be audio . The issue is it falls around the time of a lot of fall stops so it isn’t very apparent until you turn on the click and realize everything after that point is skewed. To make matters worse it has been there for at least the last few save iterations that span a few weeks. To make matters worse, I recorded quote few vocal tracks with said time slip that exists. Not over this part mind you, but definitely after it. If anyone has any workflow suggestions, I’d take them, as this seems like it’s going to be a complete mess to fix. Project has 53 active tracks with many take lanes active in each one, using the newest version of Sonar.
  6. Thanks all. Pretty sure this is a wrap on this mix. It’s translating on most systems I play it on. Appreciate everyone’s time..:
  7. Hi Freddy, This was an interesting / eclectic listen. Very signature take on blues, for sure. My main issue is that the vocals need to be in a better shared space as everything else. They seem to be super dry and very forward. Maybe that’s the intention? nicely done…
  8. Really nice! The video looks super pro too. Excellent work…
  9. It was just a google drive file: Updated to a SoundCloud link for ease…
  10. I’m obsessed with this show. Excellent cover man…
  11. Wayyyyyyy out of our normal comfort zone and genre, but boy, whatever the eff this is, it was super fun lol. Leave Me Like You Love Me / The Underhills Looking for general mix feedback before this heads to mastering. Thanks so much…
  12. Thanks guys. Tbh, singing with northeast fall allergies and consistent post nasal drip is so damn challenging. My take count was way higher than normal with this tune. Nice to know I’m fooling a few people 😃
  13. Sure Nigel… Posted it on our band camp temporarily which isn’t ideal because BC streaming is like mp3 quality but I did enable wav download https://theunderhills.bandcamp.com/track/gone-2024 Made some tweaks last night: * enabled a de-esser on the acoustic from the drums in until the outro to duck / reduce from 6.5k and above the harsh percussive strum. Seems to have tamed it… *rolled high end off acoustic and lead vox a little *cross delay on chorus harmonies to make them wash a little more * still need to increase vocal level on second half of verses as they seem to bury a little once the second rhythm guitar comes in * reduced overall loudness of track
  14. Hey Mark, thanks for the detailed listen / game plan. I will definitely try to engage a few of these tweaks when I roll back to this tonight. Haha no apologies man. I post this stuff to get it over the finish line. The drums are drums on demand so it’s really only a stereo field I get to work with: the compression is in the product. Only other compression is an SSL G on the master bus and it’s only like 2 to 4db of compression. There’s a slight L2 to push the volume for car listening until I can get it mastered but it’s not actually doing much. Thanks for the listen!!
  15. I’m not sure what genre is targeted here but it has really amazing musical theater / broadway energy. It was a very nice piece…
