  1. Introducing Equinox: an immersive, adaptive reverb plugin for music and post production Discover how to craft immersive depth, life, and clarity with Equinox, a professional reverb plugin for post and music production. https://www.izotope.com/en/products.html/ Unleash the power of two legendary reverbs in one Equinox is built on the incredible reverb engines from Exponential Audio’s Stratus and Symphony, giving you the best of both worlds. Whether you're aiming for hyper-realistic spaces to place your instruments and dialogue naturally, or you want to dive into creative and experimental sound design, Equinox has you covered. Go real or surreal – the choice is yours. I didn't bite on the earlier adaptation of EA verbs (Aurora) but this looks interesting, but maybe more so once it's about $100 cheaper.
  2. Yup - love this forum and so happy to see Larry back among us. I have learned a ton and met really nice, funny, and talented people. I travel a ton for work so don't get to read or reply as much but I'm on vacation this week!!! Momesso was on the Rangers for a year, I think - not long. He also played in the Montreal alumni game here in Detroit a few weeks ago that was supposed to be my last game but I couldn't make it that far. If you're not going to be at your best, its best to not play, and I haven't since. I hope you kept that Pete Peeters jersey - what an era that was! Carbonneau was stellar, too, and I sometimes felt my mom loved him more than me if we caught a game on Hockey Night in Canada. Man, she loved to watch him play! Let's keep throwing good karma at our teams - maybe we'll see an original 6 finals in our lifetimes yet!!! Especially since Marchand is gone. He's the guy you want on your team but despise if he's not. Now, where did I put that guitar I was going to re-string?????
  3. Oh yeah. Alexander Ovechkin. His shot is deadly music to a goalie's ears so its really about music then.
  4. That was a blast! I felt like a kid again. Thanks for digging that up - brought a huge smile to my face!!!
  5. Those games were a TON of fun. The game is on YouTube and you can see Reggie Lemelin's F-Bomb clear as day. Last game I played was for the NY Rangers when one of their alumni goalies had to cancel last minute. The Cup was sitting in the locker room between me and Sergio Momesso. Sitting there in our skivvies looking at the thing. Sweet memories made harder knowing i was playing some of the best hockey of my life last fall. What a drag to have to stop taking your love of the Bruins onto the ice at such a young age. That had to be so tough. I can't even conceive of it. What a blessing to have these instruments that give us voice, that speak back to us as much as we speak through them. And girls. I married one and now have three more. I miss the locker room even more now!!!!!
  6. Well, this is another victory - you win the forum today!!! That is hysterical!!!!!! If you lead with that fingernail in whatever you do, you just can't lose.
  7. I JUST retired from playing net last month. One hip replaced two years ago that feels great, but now have a meniscus tear that won't heal. I'm 58 now but had the chance to play in a morning pickup with some great Detroit legends for the last 15 years and play goal in 5 alumni games. I can't wait to sell my gear. It's hard to look at now.
  8. Amen to that! Granddad was on the Canadians to win the cup in 1926. Gotta go Habs first, even when they play the Wings.
  9. It wasn’t even about beating the Flyers, or sweeping them…ahem. It was all about putting Hextall in his place!!! We’re a long way away from those days here in The ‘D’. Having said all that, Bernie Parent was the reason I played goal for almost 50 years.
  10. Their follow-up album, A Different Kind of Weather, is THE soundtrack of my 20's. AMAZING album. No duds. Just Nick Laird Clowes at his finest.
  11. I'm in Detroit, so I have to look outside of my city to find good hockey cheer. Ovi!!!
  12. Who doesn’t need shapelier transients? Thanks, Larry!
  13. Awesome. I love the update, but reauthorizing my expansions is not fun.
  14. Did you rescan your content locations?
  15. The extra copy is spoken for but if there's anyone else with an extra serial, there's folks on the forum that are still looking.
  16. I have an extra one, too - cart got hung up on https://www.producerspot.com/product/ik-multimedia-t-racks-6-upgrade-to-max/ and I started another session not realizing the first went through. PM if you're interested.
  17. If I'm gonna get schooled, this exactly how I want it!!!! Thanks, Starship - this is good info.
  18. MTurboEQ 12 vintage-style equalizers in one plugin MTurboEQ is a unique vintage-style equalizer inspired by most of the well-known classic hardware. It's not one of them, it's all of them! For quick and easy equalization with pristine results. https://www.meldaproduction.com/MTurboEQ
  19. LAAAARRRRY!!!!!! I couldn’t believe my eyes. So good to see you here again. Uh oh - where’s my wallet??!
  20. Hmmmm…isn’t this already free? Maybe it’s about to be unfree.
  21. Thanks, Jesse. It was (and still is) a good forum, but it changed when Larry left. Hasn't been the same but I stick around for the peeps and the occasional no-brainer. Far fewer of those today as I have many of them from the past. They are still no brainers today, and I committed to learning them before moving on to anything else that would do something they can't. I reduced the plugin count over the holidays and added MSoundfactory. I seem to be recording more music as a result. All the best to you. Do stop by once in a while - I really appreciated your posts and thoughts.
  22. I just dabbled with Illusion. I had a trial last year and really liked it but decided to just put my toe into LiquidSonics with Tai Chi lite. It’s deep, but the UI is surprisingly easy to understand - it’s more a matter of whether you need the additional features and can use them to good effect, pun intended. i think it’s a good “all-arounder” and I’m certainly not going to be using its full potential for a while. It’s not a colored as Tai Chi, for sure. It is really good at placing things in a space, but you can also play with echoes, predelay, etc. I’m sure we’ll get along just fine. All that said, ProR2 will always be close at hand because workflow matters and I don’t think I gave the “2” part of the name enough credit here.
  23. I would have to go into the preset menu to look, but like most other plug-ins, the presets are a starting point. I found many of the designer presets to be very good if not interesting, mainly due to the dynamics and EQ shaping that are in the full product. I rarely keep what settings come with the presets. There was on designer that dialed in rooms, for instance, that got me about halfway there. After slight tweaks to dynamics and EQ, it was stellar. This is like adding some surgical tools to something like Raum, which I consider underrated, but equally colorful. Tai Chi’s algos seem warmer than what I have relied on to now, like ProR-2 and Sparkverb which ring metallic to my ears. Might not be for everybody but this sale only happens once a year so I want to make sure that loose change in the pockets or $20 bill you left in your winter coat from last year finds a home. Only $9 more to pick up a very capable (but comparatively limited) Tai Chi Lite. Sure wish I was home screwing around with these verbs.
  24. I thought that was what you were referring to. I only know of their existing coupon-stacking program. For Tai Chi, the coupon can’t be applied for an upgrade within the same product line so it’s $70 for the upgrade, unless you have other reverbs and use their codes. My upgrade was $54 since I have Illusion which carries a 22.5% discount in their shop.
