  1. Hello Everybody, I was mixing as project for a friend of mine who used Pro Tools. I had to help him export his aTomudio files. Pro Tools has a clip window which is really cool and I wonder if Sonar has or plan to create somrthing like this. Maybe Sonar has this but I'm not familiar with that. Thanks for your help! Tom C.
  2. Thanks KSband, Lynn and Jack. Thanks for the feedback. I'll taake a look at all those things. Jack, any suggestions to unmuddy the vocal. EQ maybe? Tom. (It says Patrick but people call me Tom)
  3. Thanks Nigel. I'll take a listen to that piece. Also, It's easy to ease up on the compression on the master mix. Thanks! Tom.
  4. It's called Free to Love. Thanks in advance for your help. Tom.
  5. Yes, I will ease on the compression. Thanks!
  6. Thanks for the response Paul. I actually placed a capo on the 2nd fret (G position)so I could sing in the way that I felt comfortable. That being said is that I need to re-record some of the vocals and be more relaxed. Sometimes when the "red light" goes on I tense up a bit. I may try to Melodyne but I'm not sure about that. Thanks again!
  7. Thanks Jack.. I'm going to revisit those vocals and fix that.
  8. Okay, thanks Paulo. Let's try again
  9. Hi everybody. I need some advice for this song. It was supposed to be a simple acoustic tune but it became much bigger that that and I would like some feed back. Does everything fit in well? Vocals? Thanks! Tom C.
  10. Okay, this is another mix of the above song.
  11. Thanks! That just may work!
  12. Well, m I don't know how the kick can be off when it's running with the clock. Maybe I should use a different drum beat all together. Let me try that and see if it feels better. ?
  13. Okay.. Oh well. Time to move on to another tune. Thanks everybody! ?
  14. Keeping in mind the great suggestions above, here's the new mix. Maybe different
  15. Thanks everybody. Yes, I did drop it to the key of D. I feel comfortable with it but maybe I can lay back just bit and try to sing with the music instead of over the music. Yes the drums are midi. I used EasyDrummer 3 but I had problems because I had trouble with the time signature. I had to quantize the drum pieces in triplets within the 4/4 time signature. Maybe one of you guys can help me with that. I'll also try panning guitars right/left and see how it sounds. And bass tracks have always been as problem for me, I'll see what I can do with that. Thanks Again!
  16. Thanks for the advice Jesse. Everything was recorded by me one track at a time. Maybe I should check the line-up again and try to make it flow better. This particular song has a petty intense lead vocal. I was trying to capture that but maybe should lay back. Thanks!
  17. Hi everybody, I would really like some feedback regarding this mix. I've been working on it for awhile. I put the song up on Facebook and I'm not really getting many likes so I'm really worried about the whole thing. It's my version of Elvin Bishop's Fooled Around and Fell in Love. Thanks for your help! Tom.
  18. Can anyone tell me what happened to these clips? This happens every once and a while and I can't figure it out. Thanks!
