  1. So, should I pick up a pre amp? If so, which one?
  2. Thanks for the help: As recommended, I lowered the bridge pickup away from the strings a bit....and.....IT Helped ! ! Certainly cheaper than having to buy another interface.
  3. Thanks for your reply. Shouldn't the input be able to handle humbuckers? This was also a problem on V3 and V2. I'm about ready to buy something more expensive but don't know which way to go yet.
  4. My input is clipping when using my SG with classic 57 pickups. While rocking the top two strings (E and A) it always goes in the Red. I've turned down the gain all the way. I've used the Auto and Safe modes. No change. Anyone else experienced this? Are these inputs really this weak? Thanks
  5. Seems right. Where do I find the Synth Rack?
  6. How do you get the "Insert Soft Synth Options" screen to pop up?
  7. I'm getting an echo/delay when playing a patch on the AX II. All Fx are off. When I press the little headphones in sonar to monitor the output, the echo/delay comes in. When I press the little headphones again (turning them off), the delay goes away. The sound at this point is very good, however its not registering in Sonar with the peak meter. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  8. Hello: I'm using EZ drummer in Sonar. When I find the right drum grove, I select it and drop it into the track in Sonar. My issue is that it only drops in a tiny groove. I need to extend it out a long way. I can grab Groove Clip Looping and drag it to the far right of the screen, but beyond that point, I have to back up the cursor then move it right again...many..many times. Is there a simpler way to extend the drum track? I tried to copy it, but the new placement does not line up (beat wise) with the previous clip. Thanks for your help.
  9. I'm sure my situation is simply the learning curve.
  10. I do appreciate your time on this. I hear the same shrill type of tones. No body, etc. I'm sure this can be "user error". I'm a little puzzled the presets sound this bad. Could the previous owner have done something? There are blocks where there is nothing there. I would've guess there would be many, many presets made by the company. But, the way it sounds now, I wouldn't buy this unit had I known. But, I could be doing something wrong. Is there a way to download the factory presets where I can start from square one?
  11. Thanks: I just did what you suggested before I read your response. I took the two outs (l and r) and went into my Scarlett 2i2 and I'm getting sounds now. To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed in the sound I'm getting from my studio speakers. I'm sure I'm still not doing something right.
  12. I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 as my audio interface. Cakewalk appears to think the Axe II is my audio interface. The Focusrite was grayed out. The Axe II is connected to my pc by USB.
  13. Hello: Anyone use this combination? Got mine in today. Bought it used. I can't seem to get the audio to work. I've downloaded the USB driver and Edit . I've assigned the Audio to this device in Cakewalk. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks
  14. Glenn: In your first response, you show a "Insert Soft Synth " Screen. When I insert EZdrummer, I don't get this screen. Where can I find it or reactivate it? Thanks
