  3. Just tried this and so far so good...still testing and pushing things to see if she crashes but so far...so good! Thanks.
  4. I did a fresh install and still happening. This problem is only with "Sonar"...I am in the middle of a project and had to go back to CW the "free" version and all is fine. Just with "Sonar". All started with November's update..
  5. Thanks David...This is only happening with "Sonar". I went back to Cakewalk "free version" this morning and it works perfectly. Something with Sonar...
  6. For the last few months Sonar crashes constantly...Same setup I've had for years with no problems whatsoever...all of a sudden I'm getting blue screens every time I work on something. Started end of November and I was hoping for a fix but it just keeps happening. I have updated all drivers and still same result. Been using Cakewalk for about 30 years and have never seen anything like this. Everything else on PC is fine only Sonar crashing. Have to start a new project and am at a loss...anyone have any ideas?
  7. Hello...I have been using my MOTU Midi Express XT for years with Sonar and now the new Cakewalk. After an upgrade of Cakewalk awhile back I experience a "log Jam" of midi only when I use my external gear (Fantom X, JV2080, etc). As I am playing audio will just drop out and then all of a sudden kick back in almost like the midi notes got backed up going in. It will record the parts correctly but playing back and in real time the notes get dropped. I know this is an issue with Cakewalk as I had a rep from MOTU on the phone who ran me through several different things that all worked and showed that when I bypass Cakewalk the interface works fine. As I mentioned I have been using this hardware with Cakewalk for years and this just started happening a few upgrades ago. If I am using any software based samplers (Kontakt, Superior drummer, Omnisphere, etc.) there is no issue at all. Only when using outboard or external gear. I see on line that several people have had this issue but I have never seen a solution posted if any. Any info would be most appreciated. Thanks so much.
