  1. Ctrl key did not affect anything. SONAR support seems to be non-existent.
  2. I'll try that. But here's some new (and very confusing) info: I uninstalled Sonar. I rebooted. I started Command Center. Command Center claims Sonar is all there and ready to Launch. In Windows Apps list, Sonar is not present. That just feels like Twilight Zone nuts
  3. Windows 11, up to date. 32G memory Audio is Behringer UPhoria, working swell with Sibelius, Cubase and Dorico. Sonar Platinum may be old, but it's still Cakewalk's DAW, is it not? Should run on a machine that it had been running fine for a long time
  4. I have checked Task Manager and rebooted many times. I hadn't thought about Event Viewer but I checked and there's nothing there
  5. I have the latest version of Sonar Platinum, which I have repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled. A few months ago, it simply stopped working. I click the icon, or launch from Command Center. I briefly see the splash screen, then it simply goes away. No crash notice, no nothing. I rolled back to the earliest version available (Manchester), but no good. Same thing Very frustrating. So much so that I purchased Cubase Pro (which I like fine, but of course it's a completely different workflow, and that's painful). But of course I have tons of SONAR projects that I'd like to revisit and edit. I have no idea what happened. and no idea of what to do. there seems to be nothing to look at. any ideas?
  6. How the hell does one get in contact with Cakewalk support? If I click the email link on the site, it offers no email opportunity. My Sonar Platinum has stopped working entirely. I try to launch it, see the splash screen, then it just goes away. I removed the app (Windows does not show it in the list of installed apps), but I can still try to start it from Start Menu. Hell, Command Center insists that it's still there!! I uninstalled and reinstalled Command Center, it still thinks Sonar is there and ready to launch! Won't even give me the opportunity to re-install. If I had any to tear out, I'd be tearing out my hair. Been a Cakewalk user for 3 decades, but this really sucks. I've included screen shot of Command Center, which blithely states that Sonar is "Ready to Launch". Grrr
  7. I hooked up a Behringer Uphoria to record some vocals. MME gave distortion, so I switched to ASIO, but dice. Switched to WDM, and SONAR crashed, and hasn't run since then. Start it, splash screen for a few seconds, then crickets. I've removed it multiple times, but the sonofabitch won't even go away! That is, I remove it (doesn't show up in Windows installed apps), but I can still "start it". Removed with Command Center. Reinstalled. SAME THING!! What does it take to kill this thing completely. However much I uninstall, reboot, etc, it still acts like its tryng to use WDM and then dies. I've been a Cakewalk user for over 30 years. Never had this level of frustration Any ideas? I'm including some sort of SONAR generated recovery project (which does nothing as far as I can tell). Also the dump file SONAR no longer evens has an email option for Support!! Is it time to look for an alternative DAW? FeelLikeLettingGo(Reprise) (Recover 24-07-10-11-35-05-819).cwp FeelLikeLettingGo(Reprise)_07102024_113419.dmp
  8. Has anyone used this product with Sonar? I am especially interested in the voice sound sets
  9. Okay, I live in a bubble. Had not even heard about Bandlab Cakewalk until Celemony told me they don’t even test Melodyne with SONAR Platinum any more. I’ve just been happily using SONAR Platinum with infinite updates. I’ve been a Cakewalk user for almost 3 decades, and always kept up with every upgrade, so this is a little odd. But all that aside, now I need to know whether switching to Bandlab is the right thing to . I understand it’s FREE? That seems insane, and automatically makes me a little leery. I’ve always believed you get what you pay for. Furthermore, I’ve seen hints out there (since my antenna are now activated) that perhaps switching to Bandlab Cakewalk is not necessarily a positive move. So I’d like to hear from those who’ve made the move. Recommended or not? Also, one small issue is that one of my two Platinum installations is on a machine that can only be connected to the Internet with great difficulty. Does that figure in? Thanks for your input.
