I'm listening to some old acidized files that came with some Zero-G libraries that I purchased a long time ago. I can hear all the files as I click through them, but only random files will trigger the metering on the Master and Preview busses. It's consistent which ones will trigger, or not trigger, the metering if I go back to them. This one has me stumped. If I check the same regular wav files that aren't acidized, they trigger the metering consistently. The meters work once the file is dragged into the arrangement. Just curious why it's not triggering the meters.

I logged into my account and received a pop up for 50% off to renew my membership. It's just 50% off the first month, and the regular price after that.

I don't believe this issue is just with Cakewalk. I've experienced a problem with VST3 plugins not loading, or working incorrectly, in Studio One and Bitwig. The VST2 plugins don't load. I have to move the VST3 out of the Common Files folder, and then the VST2 version will load and work correctly. So far it's effecting Fabfilter and Native Instruments plugs.

Instant love for this synth.

I uninstalled everything, then installed Platinum, and then the latest version of Nu Sonar. That allowed me to install everything on the Command Center. But, Discord won't work while Nu Sonar is running. There's some error with the driver not being released in the background, and I kept getting knocked off and having to restart Discord. Had to cancel my sub.

Nu Sonar driver issue when using Discord
Resonant Serpent replied to Resonant Serpent's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I'm in ASIO using a Presonus Studio 6/8. I have the box checked for "suspend audio engine when Sonar not in focus". The settings work in Bandlab Cakewalk just fine, but not in Nu Sonar. -
My wife and I both have our own studios. I do art and music. She writes, does art, and games on a MMOG. We communicate and hang out together in our separate studios by using Discord. In all the other DAWs I use, I can run Discord parallel with that DAW and have no issues. Using Cakewalk by Bandlab, Discord would quit working as soon as I started the program. I could simply restart Discord, and everything would work fine. I started the sub again yesterday for Nu Sonar. Using the same method of restarting Discord when I started Nu Sonar, it would work for a bit, but after a few minutes Discord would give me the warning that my mic was no longer working. I'd reboot and keep going. Tested this again yesterday with Ableton Live 12, Cubase 13, Bitwig 5.2, Studio One 6.6, and the latest Cakewalk by Bandlab. In all those programs I had zero issues with getting Discord to run alongside the program. Several tests with Nu Sonar and there's some kind of conflict that won't release the driver to Discord. Something changed from Cakewalk by Bandlab to Nu Sonar that makes Discord unusable for me.

Damn. That's a loss to lose all your settings. Is there a way to backup the settings in Sonar? Luckily I haven't done any customizations. Just putting the program through the paces to make sure everything works like I need it to. I'll uninstall Sonar, install SPlat, and then reinstall Sonar. Thanks for the answer.

I have the sub for Nu Sonar. I downloaded, installed, and logged into the Cakewalk Command Center to install the extras like the Drum Replacer and Pro Channel plugins. I tried to install the extras, but keep getting the message that I don't have the correct program installed, and the extras refuse to install. So... Do I need to install Platinum to get the extras from my old account? Do I need to uninstall Nu Sonar, install Platinum, then reinstall Nu Sonar to keep everything working properly? Is there a better method?

Dim Pro, Is this locked to Cakewalk products?
Resonant Serpent replied to John Vere's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I have Dim Pro with all the EMU expansions, and it opens in every DAW I have. I still use it pretty regularly. Some great patches in there.
