We are almost in December! 😁

Never tried this "extenders" but i suppose it can be treated as a bank switch of the same X-Touch device inside AZController.
-
Yes, but maybe using AZController he can configure the 2 controllers as a "big one" supposing that since they are using the same driver and both are receiving data. Just a suggestion, I'm not sure I understand the problem at hand. I only have an X-Touch and I use it with AZController without any problems. EDIT: sorry, I didn't read the word "extender" I now understand that it is an expansion compatible with the X-Touch! I understood that it was 2 x-touch controllers! 😅

You can give a try to Azslow AZ controller, instead : https://www.azslow.com/ Also check this post, can be useful :

I've removed the nvidia drivers with DDU in safe mode and then reinstalled the drivers.
-
Finally i've fixed the issue! It was enough to remove the NVIDIA drivers with DDU in safe mode and the problem is gone.
-
Thank you Noel, already reported to Arturia, let's see, seems that their support is not very good and i can't post in their forum, even if im a customer of their products for 15 year at least!
-
I have to try to uninstall the NVIDIA drivers with DDU for now i've just updated from 560.8 to 565.90 but without uninstalling the previous version. Seems that someone in the past have issues related to the CUDA Framework, i have to try also uninstalling the CUDA stuff.

Thank you, but it will be good to know some infoz about your system, CPU, GPU and drivers version, Windows version.

I've done some further test and the issue appears even using the ARTURIA VSTi's in standalone so is not a Cakewalk/Sonar fault! The strange thing is that the sluggishness and sometimes the total stuck of the GUI appears only in some ARTURIA products. A shortlist of what i've tested since now : Analog Lab V (5.10.5.5098) - OK ARP 2600 V (3.13.1.5024) - sluggish non responsive GUI and also the cursor disappear, while the audio still running and you can play with a midi keyboard! B3 V2 (2.9.2.5048) - OK Buchla Easel V (1.13.1.5024) - slugghish GUI then irresponsive GUI and stuck forever while the audio still running and you can play with a midi keyboard! Clavinet V (1.13.1.5024) - OK CMI V (1.13.1.5024) - slugghish GUI but less than the others and very random. CS80 V (1.9.1.5024) - OK CZ V (1.9.1.5024) - GUI stuck forever after the first click on the GUI, while the audio still running and you can play with a midi keyboard! DX 7 (1.13.1.5024) - GUI stuck randomly while the audio still running and you can play with a midi keyboard! SOLINA V (2.13.1.5024) - OK Synclavier V (2.13.1.5024) - OK Vocoder V (1.6.1.5024) - sluggish at the beginning then the GUI stuck forever while the audio still running and you can play with a midi keyboard! MINI V3 (3.12.0.3422) - OK I will try to post on the Arturia forum it's just to help someone with the same issues.

Thank you, Wookiee, yes im using the Nvidia Game Ready drivers.

Some Arturia VSTis (VST2/VST3) have serious GUI issues with Cakewalk and Sonar, the GUI becomes very sluggish and the more you click, the more the sluggishness increase! The issue is not with all the Arturia VSTis/VSTs (same with VST3/VST2) for example with Clavinet V no issues, with Vocoder V the issue make the GUI completely unresponsive (the audio continues to work) but not only the GUI of the VST it's stuck, also the GUI of Cakewalk/Sonar becomes unresponsive for a while, very random, and all the clicks that you do on the GUI are executed several seconds after! After a while (several seconds) Cakewalk/Sonar GUI becomes "clickable" again, but if you don't click again over the VTS GUI of course, otherwise everything stuck again! No crashes and no hangs of Cakewalk/Sonar, the audio engine continues to work all the time. Windows 10 with latest updates, Cakewalk 2024.07 build 108 but i have the same issue even with latest Sonar 2024.09 build 105! My cpu is an AMD 5900x with 32GB Ram, the GPU is an RTX 3080 with Nvidia drivers 560.8, Cakewalk/Sonar and related VST plugins are installed on a super-fast NVMe SSD (WD Black SN750). EDIT: i forget to say that im using an Audient EVO USB soundcard in ASIO mode with latest EVO drivers. I've tried also with latest NVidia drivers (565.90) but the issue remains. The Arturia plugins are updated to the latest version available. Seems also that some VST plugins of the Arturia FX Collection 2 suffer from the same issue. After further testing, even the Arturia Emulator II V have the same issue, while the Arturia Solina V works without any issue.

Same issue for me and some Arturia V instruments (but even with some Arturia FX of the suite FX Collection 2). Same issue for me but only with Autotune PRO, all the other Autotunes (artist, EFX, etc.) are working. if i use Autotune PRo alone, no problems at all, but if i insert another plugin before or after, a digital distorsion appears and the audio is pithed down of an octave +/-, i've tried with different plugin brands (Softube, Fabfilter, Cakewalk, and more). Also when you insert Auto Tune Pro alone without any other plugins, the stereo wide changes and act like a doubler effect, very pleasent to be honest, but it shouldn't happen! -
Do you have tried to save a project which contains Deep and then re-open it? Which version of Cakewalk are you using? Which build of Windows 10? Thank you.
-
I've sent the dump to Ujam, In any case now the plug works without any issue with Studio One, even reloading a project that contains Deep. In Cakewalk you can use the plug for hours without any crash but every time you try to load a project with Deep, Cakewalk crashes and without the crashdump file process, it just close! I've tried to create (and save) several new projects with only Deep, but nothing, it just close Cakewalk soon after the opening without any error or crashdump.
-
Thank you Noel, that's what I suspected too, since, as I said, it also crashes other softwares\DAWs.
-
Yesterday i've uninstalled Ujamm Deep, and reinstalled from scratch, everything was working fine, i've tested Cakewalk with the VSTi for more than 30 minutes without any crash. Today i try to open the test project saved yesterday that includes the Ujam Deep VSTi and...crash! The first time i've received the cakewalk pop up error to create the dump, now when i try to open the project, at the end of the loading the GUI of Ujam Deep with the evaluation pop-up appear but then Cakewalk crashes and closes without any error message. Of course loading the project pressing shift and without loading Deep, the project is it opened correctly. Attached dumps. Orme_April_2021_2_04222021_192142.dmp

Chris, thank you for your comment, i would suggest to use the Ujam plugins using a VST Host inside Cakewalk, such as Plogue Bidule, Blue Cat Patchwork or even the NI Komplete Kontrol (works even withou a NI product) maybe they will work better.
-
Sorry, but the issue is not related to Cakewalk only, i've made this post just to ask if someone can reproduce the issue, i've already contacted Ujam support and i will post on the Presonus Studio One forum (the other DAW i use, affected by the same problem) soon with the same request. So for the moment i just need to gather informations regarding the "reproducibility" of the problem on other systems and other DAWs (in this case Cakewalk), then i will send all to UJam. Anyway, my GPU is a NVIDIA GTX1080 with latest drivers (but even with previous versions nothing changes), and i don't have an onboard GPU on my system, Ryzen 3700X don't have an inbuild GPU and neither my MSI X-570-A Pro mobo. No problems from DXDIAG.

No one was able to reproduce the problem?

Hi, Someone can confirm that the following VST make freezes\crashes with Cakewalk (last build and even last Early Access 2021.04) ? https://www.ujam.com/drummer/deep/ The free trial works for 30 days without limits. I've tested also on Studio One 5.x and with NI Kontrol Standalone, and freezes in the same way, so is not a Cakewalk fault, but i wanted to share some opinions regarding the issue. Thanx in advance.
