whilst we wait for Arturia to upgrade to a 21st century scalable CDN ......it's worth looking at this:

https://www.avid.com/products/avid-control

Recently updated and I'm using with cubase/ipad - and it's very good indeed.  The documentation shows how to install in various DAW

by the time you've installed and configured it you might have today's free reverb installed too ?

You need a (free) Avid account to download the pc/mac software.  The remote runs on IOS/android and in a surprise move..Amazon fire devices....

100% free

Requires iOS 11.0   for those of us who haven't moved up in the Apple monopoly. Reviews are either really good or really bad.

yes, wouldn't run on my old ipad - runs great on my phone and more modern ipad.

The uninstaller is pretty good and cleans up after itself so very little risk giving it a go.   I suspect some of the reviews are for the older version, it's much improved.  Best remote app I've tried.

If you install the Eucon plugin for Cakewalk/Sonar, you can use this app as an advanced remote.

What's this? Never heard of Eucon. As I understand this, @Jim Roseberry this will extend the functionality of the app that Simon is talking about?

[edit] I see it's a Avid plugin? Correct? How would this work in CW? Mackie Control? Midi?

Does this mean I have to get a Tablet to use this?

I have an Android phone, but the screen size is small to do any mixing etc...I've never wanted to use a Tablet or iPad to control the DAW (since I'm at the DAW), but might be interesting. Justifying it for DAW usage might not go too well with upper management. ;)

@Mesh  yes I think the phone is too small - but enough to test it out

fire tablet might be one of the cheapest ways to get this working

https://www.amazon.com/Fire-Tablet-Display-Black-auto-renewal/dp/B07NS9SDYG only $49 in the US - haven't tried a fire tablet so at your own risk obvs

@Grem

yes it's avid but not a plug - more details here

http://connect.euphonix.com/documents/EUCON Application Setup.pdf

you might need to be logged in to see it but basically no specific setup for CW - there is a mackie mode however

At that price point, it's prolly better to leave Mgmt. out of this.

Thanks Simon, will look into the Fire Tablet......might as well since I already have a Fire Stick.

Eucon is a hardware controller protocol.

Thus, *any* DAW application that supports Eucon can be controlled with the Avid iPad app.  (Cubase/Nuendo, Samplitude ProX, etc)

There's a Eucon "control surface" plugin for Sonar/CbB.  Once that's installed, Sonar/CbB can be controlled via the Avid iPad app.

You have to install the Eucon software (and the Eucon plugin for Sonar/CbB).

You have to define the features/functions... so it'll take a little time/effort.

Once done, you've got an advanced wireless remote.

Hi all. Im looking for the Eucon control surface plugin x64.

This page:

https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013271/EUCON-Control-Surface-Support-for-SONAR-X1

Needs my old cakewalk account, Im waiting for an email to confirm and validate but I never get that mail.

There's another way to download that plugin?
