Plugins can also be run in the traditional way (i.e. in the DAW) if the frame is not activated. Don't know the pricing scheme yet but would imagine there's a few of pricing structure changes coming down the line, can't see it sustaining otherwise. It’s very difficult to grasp what its benefits are and I have been following development on it for a while. It basically allows you to control the Acustica plugins that are inserted in tracks in your DAW in a centralised place with a touchscreen mixer. I just can’t see how that they justify a $999 RRP price tag for what is just a handy frame for some plugins. Or that any price is good for it when it should be a free product for people who have AA plugins (which aren't that great to begin with so why bother with a console of their own?). If you buy the AA plugins, this should come free or other way around, you buy this you get the AA plugins with it which it does seem to have some but $1000 worth?
