For instance, I own EVERYTHING Amplitube except 1 pedal, but my cost to "upgrade" to Max is $149? I own EVERYTHING SampleTank, except for some of the Syntronik packs... but my cost to upgrade to MAX is $149? I own EVERYTHING T-Racks, and my cost to upgrade to Max is $149??? I own MORE than is in Total Studio Max, but my cost to upgrade is $279??? How they can't see the complete absurdity of their system is beyond comprehension. Most vendors with products in a "line" have a graduated upgrade system for their products. The more you own, the cheaper it gets...but not IK. It's a pretty sad business model. If people buy one piece or smaller bundle at a time, they do not have MAX and like Komplete we do not change separate bundles into the whole package as there are different benefits to different people's needs when buying things whichever way they choose. Sorry you feel it is a "sad business model" or "absurd" since it does not work for those who may lack a few pieces of gear and there isn't a bundle to complete their set or buying the few items a la carte won't work for their needs (though it also does work for many, as people do have different needs). I have learned a long time ago to not buy singles. I bought Total Studio Max 1 and upgraded to Max 2 a while ago. Will not buy anything else until version 3.
