I want to record a drum sound from a VST instrument on a track, and on another track I want to record a sound that I made up on my synthesizer (Korg Modwave). Cakewalk retains the midi events I record with the synth keyboard but the sounds i hear are either from the VST instrument or from whatever sound i have selected on the Korg. I am very confused about how to record the synth sounds so that they stay and don't change after recording.
