Notes_Norton
Here's a jazz album I haven't listened to in a long time. IMO Some nice cuts on it too. Notes_Norton
Another of my favorite rock drummers, John Bonham (in no particular order, and each one for different reasons: Bernard 'Pretty' Purdy, Hal Blaine, Ginger Baker, John Bonham, & Neil Peart) I learn a lot by listening and analyzing what they do. Haven't heard too much of his playing since Zappa. I guess I need to go exploring. Not a fan of the 5 that I mentioned above either. I just like their work and in my current writing of BiaB styles, I'm learning from their recorded work. It's difficult to pick favorites when there are so many to choose from. I guess I need to go exploring. I, too, know of him from his work with Zappa, but over the past few years I have gone on some Bozio video-watching binges. His playing styles and massive "kits" are not for everyone, but you might enjoy them. Also, not sure if you were a fan of Ed Mann, but I have also binge-watched/listened to the Z3 featuring Ed Mann. Again, not for everyone.
