A Yes concert is on my "If I had a time machine list." 🙂

I saw them twice, once at Reading Festival in 1975. I saw the C-Beams glittering in the dark  sorry - the lasers glittering through a torrential rain shower.

The set list for that show https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/yes/1975/little-johns-farm-reading-england-63d81277.html

I also saw them in Bristol but my memory is vague here.  I am sure it was the Colston Hall, which would have made it 1975 a few months before reading, but I am also sure Wakeman was with them and it was the Topographic Oceans tour so it must have been the Hippodrome in November 1973.

I understand that Clare Torry improvised these vocals on the spot, and when it was all over, asked if it was OK?

More than OK in my book. It's a great piece of work.

I've often thought about transcribing the studio performance and playing it on sax, but when I think about the huge chunk of time that would take, I think about all the more important things I have to do.

is there a vocal stem somewhere? then you could use melodyne or similar to do the leg work

Midi files:

https://bitmidi.com/uploads/83417.mid (this has the vocal line transcribed for the alto sax and sounded none too bad playing on TTS1 in Cakewalk);

It's been raining for days. Not typical Florida rain where it's sunny all day interrupted by an afternoon thunderstorm but rain, rain rain.

Looking at the 10 day forecast, it seems there will be no letup in sight. I don't really mind the rain, it's keeping the temperatures down and the plants in the yard are going through a nice growing spurt.
