Our free cymbal plugin features ultra-realistic sound through physical modeling. Use MIDI notes to trigger the in-built exciter and change tip hardness and bell intensity parameters. For added realism the MIDI triggered values can be adjusted with a probability curve. The exciter feeds into a waveguide resonator algorithm which lets you change tuning, decay and damping.

Considering it’s a free plugin, I think Exc!te Cymbal provides more than enough modification to get the sound you’re looking for. If not, a Pro version with additional controls is available for €25.

Sounds pretty good. Hopefully, IK can do something similar one day and make MODO DRUM fully modelled.

Yeh, it does sound surprisingly good. I might actually use this.

Odd it doesn't include a volume control. That's going to make it difficult to integrate into a kit. No, the $20 Pro version doesn't have one, either.

All the parameters are automatable, though, so you could make it simulate different cymbals on the fly.

This is almost there. Almost. It does the swells and wash almost like a real cymbal. Maybe with some extra trickery, you can add what's missing on it.
