How do i go about locating a clip that has an fx on it..

i know there is a very small script thats  says FX  in the top right corner

but so far ive gone thru evry clip in the project but cant find it.

If clicking on the "FX" letters doesn't display a list of the FX applied to that clip there must be something wrong with the clip. I don't know how to fix that.

Have you got any hidden or archived tracks that might have it on?

Checked those ones...no

I'm curious what would happen if you select all and bounce to clip. ( is that not an option? ) Would that render and dismiss the FX ?  or what kind of loss would you in-cure if you simply migrated the track ? My advice would be to render each track - but that's just my workflow routine.

I think the worst that could happen is that the plug-in wouldn't be found and you might get a dialogue that it is missing, but the track should hopefully still play.

Thanks all\tedious but i found it.

If i had to document whats on every clip

my studio time would double.

Must be an easier way

How long have you been struggling with this?

There is an easier way.  Practice good project hygiene.  Approach things in an orderly, logical and systematic manner and document them as you go along.

Spending a little bit of extra time on the front end can often save tons of time on the back end.
