Reverb/delay fx recommendations

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a reverb/delay plugin that will create an airy, atmospheric effect for a guitar part.

If you're familiar with the Earthquaker Dispatch Master pedal, then that's the kind of sound I'm after.

Does anyone have any recommendations for plugins that will do the job?

Thanks!

Eventide's Blackhole is a nice atmospheric reverb.

There are a lot of nice delay plugins for guitar. Soundtoys Echoboy covers a lot of ground.

And many more ...

Wait for one of Meldaproduction's 50% off everything sales, then buy the MEssentialFX bundle using the newsletter signup credit and my 20% off referral code (MELDA1923165). That will get you a nice pile of FX, including MTurboReverbLE and MTurboDelay, for about the standard price of MTurboReverbLE.

Blackhole would be my go-to for atmospheric reverb. :)

The Stardust 201 from Cherry Audio is based on some classic Roland Space Echo hardware tape delay units and is selling for $19. Demo available. https://cherryaudio.com/products/stardust-201

Valhalla Delay is nice too.  And Valhalla seems to be a great company with regular updates (to paid and free plugins!) that not only fix bugs but add new features.  Their Shimmer reverb is something I use a lot on guitar for real atmosphericyness (aplogies for the English there :-)).

Valhalla's "space modulator" is also a free one that fits right in with "supermassive". "Raum" reverb is also a nice one with the main patch called "Airy". I picked up a free copy when they first introduced it. I don't know the cost of the plugin now.
