I've got F'.em and Biotek2. Good stuff! Have tried the demos of Novum, Abyss, and Hyperion.

Novum is on my wishlist. Its a niche product that is unique, powerful, and can definitely make some interesting granular and spectral sounds from one sample. Try the demo! :)

Among this group, what are your favorites?  I'm leaning toward getting Novum, but would love to hear some other thoughts!

I am a great fan of Abyss. I understand it can be a bit of a niche product, but damn it sounds so good. It is a great atmosphere machine.

I already had Waveform 11 Pro, but decided not to do the full upgrade this year as I do not need all of the Pro features.

Instead I added Waveform 12 Free, plus the MIDI Producer Pack. I got that for $25 (with the discount code: FRIDAY22) and it gives me all of the MIDI tools that Waveform Pro has. https://www.tracktion.com/products/waveform-free-expansions

This year the Waveform Pro 12 features are all available in 3 separate expansion packs [Recording Engineer, MIDI Producer, Synth Pack] that you can add to Waveform  Free to customize it with only the features that you need: https://www.tracktion.com/products/waveform-free

I suppose it also opens up the Q why another DAW on top of in my case - CW, Reaper,  Ableton, Fruity and Reason lite :D

I bought 11 a good while back but never really used it

With all those DAWs you have already, you know that you want it. Resistance is futile!

Plus Waveform 12 Free has the MIDI pattern generators, and the way Tracktion has implemented them is is kind of cool. Great idea generator! Everything I want except for the chord track. Added that for the $25 MIDI Pro pack.

It's nice to have around as a secondary DAW for a change of pace and some fresh inspiration! I've also got CW, Reaper, Ableton, and Studio One. :)

@abacab I started a thread in the CoffeeHouse about Synapse Audio defunct DAW called ORION. I got this back in the naughties but in 2015 they shelved it. Really liked it, still have it installed. After it got shelved I bought FL Studio as similar to Orion, got it for knock down price too. Then i ended up with reason lite via an actual keyboard controller with bundled software .. so paid very little for those 2. In real terms I use CW and Reaper .. the latter more at the mo because we needed a cross platform DAW as some members are on Mac.

With respect to MIDI pattern generators I have much of the stuff Audio modern has in this regard plus WA Productions offering insta composer

I would have to look at the Tracktion generators in Waveform

I always have believed in buying stuff at knock down prices, never pay full if nothing more than to get in at the ground floor even though I may not use a VST or app for a time
