Modifying tempo (MIDI)

Vangelis Karafillidis

Question

Hello. Let's say that we have a MIDI track and after editing the tempo, there are many changes in the tempo track. When selecting a part of the MIDI track (or the entire MIDI track) and dragging the curve in the tempo track, all the nodes seem to change by the same amount (bpm). I think that it would be more useful if the nodes changed by the same percentage by default. At least this is what works best for me. Maybe both options are useful. Is there any way to change the tempo nodes by the same percentage? Thanks in advance!

I don't believe there's a way to get proportional/percentage changes by dragging; you have to use the Offset Tempo Map dialog.

Select All, right-click in the Tempo view and choose Offset Tempo Map (or Project > Offset Tempo Map in the menu), check the '%' box, enter the percentage and OK. Note that 100% is where it is now. 50% is halving all the tempos, and 200 is doubling.
