Roy Clark ! A true guitar virtuoso 😅

Recommended Posts

Back in the day during his era  Roy Clark was certainly the total package . As an entertainer and sometimes funny musical performer , Roy had all the right moves,  He sure had a way with the methods he used to tickle the strings and play his guitar !

Got to see Roy Clark in a small theater in Lancaster Pennsylvania a few years back. There were several other performers on the ticket with him, but he was the only entertainer. He alone was worth the cost of admission. I think a lot of folks never saw him as a serious musician because of his comedy routines. They missed out on a lot.

The same could be said for Frank Zappa

Zappa seemed to have a  very sophisticated sense of humor .

Cool stuff !

I hold Roy Clark , Chet Atkins , Jerry Reed , Grady Martin , Hank Garland , and Glen Campbell  in high esteem as guitar players  .

Roy sure filled a cool spot amongst those players ....Loved his playing and comedy .
