John Gilham 0 Posted July 4 Hi, My hi hat controller seems to be generating vertical lines when I record midi from my Alesis Crismon edrum kit, it didn't happen with the last kit I had. Any ideas what might be causing it? Cheers!
bdickens 1,322 Posted July 4 Those are MIDI controller events.
pwalpwal 2,858 Posted July 4 they're midi control events - if you didn't send them deliberately then maybe your controller needs a reset? you can also just delete them from the event list if they're causing trouble /hth
Andres Medina 119 Posted July 4 ...and it looks like some hardware in your setup is sending those controllers, may be unintended? - Some faulty hardware can do that.
Klaus 48 Posted July 4 Hi-hat foot controller for e-drums do usually send CC events to reflect the transitions between a closed and an open pedal. If you don't want to see those red lines in Track View, you could convert them to an envelope so they are only visible in the Automation Lanes area.
John Gilham 0 Posted July 4 Thanks all. They are unintended, (the hi hat is closed throughout that section) it may be faulty and I'll also have a play with sensitivity/curve settings etc to see if that helps Cheers
