Frankly, I thought that was a very clever way to promote their other plugins and had no problem with it whatsoever. It was refreshing to be able to use any preset with the only limitation that you couldn't edit the ones you didn't own. It kills me to think of how many of the now FREE plugins I purchased to get the over price down on the full upgrade. Still - this is a freakin' amazing FREE offering with 30 plugins AND Snapheap!
