Modal Mini's

Recommended Posts

interesting piece a la Walter/Wendy Carlos' "Switched on Bach" from 1968....i also use modalities, or specific scales, as a jumping off point when writing music....it's amazing when taking a look at all the different chords available in a scale how many are duplicates of others....good job, as usual 🎶🎶🎶🎶

Nice one. Different from your usual.
I'm guessing you were switching from one mode to another (Dorian, Lydian...)
Reminds me of the communicating with the aliens scene in Close Encounters.

Thanks, it's interesting however it is just one mode C, which some will argue is Am. Using a modal progression is more to do with how far each step is within the melody as true modal form has no harmonic support.

Again my thanks for your ongoing support.

Thank you Larry probably because I used all Mini Moog emulations except for the MemoryMood which is a Memory Moog emulation so generally a Moog sound.

Great piece, I’m really enjoying you scalar explorations.

Thanks Kevin, it is good, I think, to step outside the box occasionally
