Jose Frias

Question

Duplicating a Track makes no sound both in playback and recordings, its ruining my sessions, cause i cant punch in, or even continue to record once theres a mistake i would have to do the whole sessions from the top hoping it gets nailed perfectly every take i do, this is becoming very tedious , how can i solve this please and thank you?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean here... do you mean the duplicated track isn't making a sound?   Have you selected events in the duplicate dialog?

If you want an exact replica, you need to check all the boxes ( apart from Link to Original Clip(s) - unless you want that ).

You sound like you would benefit from watching tutorials on recording audio.
Duplicating a track is one way but not a common choice for Comping guitar or vocal parts.

Most folks will use take lanes or insert a new track.

There's also auto punch in, punch on the fly. Learn the software first the information is all here on this forum.

The PDF documentation - https://bandlab.github.io/cakewalk/docs/Cakewalk Reference Guide.pdf

The tutorial sub forum-   https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/35-tutorials/
