In fact, most people have gone out of their way to say Alyx is not HL3. Probably to perptuate the idea that Valve can't do a 3 of anything, and to keep the "HL3 confirmed" meme going. Why would you want to take away that fun? That just shows you I've been out of touch with Valve in general. Their offerings like L4D and Portal never drew me in despite having them. HL2 will have a long existence with mods until it's broken in Windows. Command and Conquer series was great but CnC3 you could tell it was going down hill.
